The property is ideal located. It’s isolated and relaxing to feel like your are at the end of the word with everything for your own comfort. The team from the management to the staff are really nice, available and helpful. I would recommend this place to everybody that want a genuine experience of being on an island. The food is fresh and really good, you can pick up your lobster for diner at a very good price, it’s just amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Beautiful boutique tiny hotel on a Caribbean island. Simple but very elegant design. Great care put into everything. Excellent staff. Snorkeling was great. Kayaks available. Boat trips to nearby islands. Private beautiful beach as well as the deck in the back where there is a beautiful mangrove lagoon where you can see the sunsets and swim with fluorescent plankton if the moonlight isn’t too strong. Excellent breakfasts as were other meals. Would really love to come back one day!

A total gem of a place. Doña Olga and her lovely staff made us feel incredibly welcome and were always there for anything you needed or wanted. The food was delicious, fresh, hot and ready always. Beautiful waters teeming with life, thousands of tropical fish, calm waves, truly a special place

Do not expect luxury in the classical sense. Expect the luxury of a fantastic view from your room and the common facilities, a staff that will do everything for you and exceptional food. If you want to relax on the isles, you might just do it in the hotel where you have sunbeds, hammocks and armchairs with direct view onto the sea. Kayaks and snorkeling equipments can be used for free. Since the hotel is located in the sea, the facilities are rather simple but everything is clean and well maintained. You can also book tours directly in the hotel. Loved it, would anytime go back!

Quarried location. Enjoyed island life. Here you total relax. Also good food. However they do not pretend to be an eco hostel, it is one of the most eco friendly hostels, no single used plastic at all. Maximum use of renewable sources.

Hostel was nice and chill! There are beach beds you can relax on and take a dip on the sea from their stairs. Note that you need a boat ride to access and leave the property! The staff was happy to help with that, and they provide information how to get to the island. Meals are served at the same time, the staff will ask for your order couple of hours in advance. Between meals you can order snacks and drinks. Usually there was a daily vegetarian and fish dish to choose from, prices were about 30 000 cop/meal. Water and coffee is served throughout the day free of charge. Some of the older reviews say that there’s no water toilets and shower times are limited: this is NOT the case anymore! Toilets work with water and you can shower anytime. Note that shower water is brought from Cartagena so shouldn’t be overused. You also need to use hostel’s own shampoo because of the sensitive mangroves.

Keep in mind that not all hotels have beaches, even though they do have access to the sea. Also remember that walking from one place of the island to another is not possible due to the mangrove, so most of the time you will need to take a boat, which usually is provided by the hotel at a cost. This is a place to relax under the sun, swim in the sea, eat delicious food, and do some low intensity activities like paddle board or snorkeling. It is not a place to explore the surroundings, have long hikes, or party

Long and expensive trip to an overcrowded island.

Long and expensive trip to an overcrowded island. There is one good beach near the boat jetty only and it is overcrowded by daytrippers. All other beaches near the hotels full of corals and stones. Don't go three. Food bad.

It was a 2 hour boat ride from Cartagena. But once you arrive it’s an interesting island worth staying at for two nights. The snorkeling, fishing and beaches are great. It’s incredibly humid and that really the only big drawback. The only way to get around is by boat, but it’s part of the adventure. We also loved swimming with the plankton at night.

The privacy was peaceful; the staff at our "home" was friendly and attentive. Being able to use kayaks, paddleboards, floating chairs on our private strip of beach was priceless. During the day, the public beach was alive with tourists and local food merchants for a great taste of island life, but for the most part, everyone packed up and went home across the water after 3pm or so. Our beach was always private and more than roomy enough to be "alone" OR socialize with the other guests at our "home" - we made some new friends and enjoyed some meals together.

Against my better judgement (because I want to keep this hidden gem to myself...) I highly recommend visiting. I do recommend knowing some Spanish if you go to make things smoother but the journey was relatively easy and hassle free.
