This hotel in Ladenburg offers air-conditioned rooms and suites, a sauna and a gym. It is a 5-minute walk from the river Neckar and the Dr. Carl Benz Car Museum. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The hotel was super affordable and was really nice - modern clean rooms, nicely decorated and comfy bed. It was also situated in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. The bakery at the end of the block was a nice bonus - I mean, who can refuse some freshly baked German bread on a Sunday morning?
Set in the heart of Ladenburg’s historic Old Town, this hotel offers modern rooms with elegant décor and a flat-screen TV. The regional restaurant features a quiet summer terrace. Our hosts were gracious. The facility charming. The location ideal. The rooms well appointed. The service was spot-on. The value incredible. It could not have been any better!
This 3-star hotel in Mannheim’s peaceful district of Seckenheim features a charming timber-framed façade and easy access to central Mannheim and the historic university city of Heidelberg. I booked it for my parents. They love the athmosphere there. It is an old house and the rooms are very nicely done and decorated.
Located on the banks of the River Neckar, in the Seckenheim district of Mannheim, this 3-star aparthotel provides good road and public transport connections to Mannheim and Heidelberg. It's a beautiful building, very nicely renovated, beautiful rooms, very spacious, more than enough room for a family with 2 kids, very clean in a great quiet location pretty close to amenities and highway.
In good weather, Ladenburg offers the visitor absolutely wonderful walks through and old town dating back to the 1450s. There are also Roman ruins to explore, beautiful churches, great ice cream cafés and super walks along the Neckar river. There are also some wonderful little boutiques for shopping. For the colder months, the walks are still wonderful and there is the Altstadt Fest in September and the very charming Christmas markets.
I often stay at hotel in Ladenburg during my business trips (having office in Mannheim) - comparing the hotels here and there (Mhm) Ladenburg is same quality but cheaper, quieter, not so hectic, I can relax here and be fit again the next day :)
Ladenburg is worth at least one overnight stop: walk along the Neckar, it is also central to several beautiful castles within biking distance, and to shop (great antique store). They have good beer gardens in which to quaff the ever excellent local beer. The marktplatz is authentically 15th to 16th century and often has an open market or concert there. Check their tourist calendar. It is a very charming town.
