Walk to everything, excellent restaurant s, the River Necker, easy street parking a couple blocks away, but access to drive to apartment to drop bags and groceries. Ladenburg is a lovely quaint old town with a number of Roman artefacts still in place. It's the oldest roman town in Germany east of the Rhine. The Neckar river, which flows through the town is also very scenic and has a lovely trail running alongside it.

In good weather, Ladenburg offers the visitor absolutely wonderful walks through and old town dating back to the 1450s. There are also Roman ruins to explore, beautiful churches, great ice cream cafés and super walks along the Neckar river. There are also some wonderful little boutiques for shopping. For the colder months, the walks are still wonderful and there is the Altstadt Fest in September and the very charming Christmas markets.
