There are many places for tourist visits. There are places for a hearty meal with well-decorated premises. Transport runs quite often, and if you decide not to focus on transport costs + you are interested in museums, then, for example, the tourist Tallinn Card (24/48/72 hours) can significantly make you forget about the headache associated with saving on tickets + it opens you paid access to a whole list of museums (although you need to very carefully calculate the opening hours of each of the museums to make it effective). It is very cool that the public transport website has tracking of the movement of transport units (specific buses, trams). https://transport.tallinn.ee/#tallinna-linn/en > Select a route, > then its direction ("Starting stop" - "Final stop"), > then (in a list somewhere in a visible place) the stop for boarding the transport. Friendly people, availability of internet at any spot, widely available banking, viriaty of restourants and shopping places makes the visit to Tallinn a pleasure. So beautiful in the old city but also a lot of other great areas to explore that were less touristy. I loved Kalamaja, the creative city, and the large park (kadriorg) as well as Noblessner. The old town is just gorgeous.
The old town is just gorgeous. It’s like stepping back in time. It’s very walkable. Lots of nice restaurants and shops. There are lots of small museums and there are small sections of the city wall open to the public. Just outside the old town there are several small shopping centres too. The parking system is not working well.
The parking system is not working well. We visited the museum (maritime museum). It was written that parking is free for 4 hours for museum visitors. We entered our car's license plate into the museum's computer, but an hour later we received a €40 fine.
