We love the beach, fish market is amazing and all the bars & restaurants and the churros & chocolate for breakfast we have tried many places and I think Cadiz has the best churros. Cádiz is an incredible city to visit. Great beaches, 4 to be precise. Caleta, in the old town, it is ok but small and water is not as clean. Santa Maria del Mar, is good but not great. Cadiz is how Spain used to be, with lovely places to find excellent food and drink, at reasonable prices. Tapas bars are really good value. Avoid the 'touristy' spots and go off the beaten track - but you might get a bit lost! Walking around is the perfect option - I would imagine driving would be difficult in the narrow streets. The hotel is right on the beach, and the view from our room was of the ocean...so beautiful! We had a small balcony which was a bonus. The pool is outstanding, really large, and there is a bar should you wish to enjoy a cocktail. I would definitely stay here again. Enjoyed the bike tour of the city -lots of cycle lanes so very safe. Great tapas bars and restaurants - particularly liked Casa Lazo & Taberna Casa Manteca plus all the local stalls at the Mercado de Abastos -it’s so worth visiting. We didn’t have time to visit Jerez so instead went to Taberna las Manzanillas where the barman guided us through some different types of sherry direct from the casks.
