Everyone on the staff with whom interacted was very friendly and professional. The bed was very comfortable--I didn't want to go back to my bed at home. Room was good sized with an enclosed terrace, and was very clean. It was only a couple of (small) blocks from the beach and there are many bars and places to eat nearby as well as grocery stores. Catching the bus into town was easy.

Single attic room in centrally located hotel some 150 metres from Cadiz Cathedral. The secluded and relatively spacious terrace, with sunlounger, table & chairs, offers striking views of Cadiz Cathedral and was the stand-out feature of the room. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with good shower. All of the staff I encountered during my 4 day stay were friendly, polite and courteous. Overall, an enjoyable 4 night stay and I’d happily return.

FAQs about hotels in Cádiz

Spain’s Oldest Jewel

Cádiz might be a small strip of land, but being the oldest inhabited city in Spain, it means that it’s covered with monuments from different ages and cultures. Beautiful sandy beaches kissed by crystalline waters are also part of its magic, while you won’t be able to forget that you’re in Andalusia, land of music and passion.

Founded by Phoenicians, it had Greek, Roman, Arab and Visigoth influence, and the Age of Discoveries reclaimed its fame as port city. It became a cosmopolitan centre of commerce, enriching a heritage still visible in its historic centre. Don’t miss its narrow streets, colourful squares, the Roman theatre, and the imposing and eclectic Cathedral. Some of the most unique hotels in Cádiz are located in the Old Town.

The newer districts include wide avenues and contemporary buildings. These are the areas of Cádiz with a larger offering of modern hotels on the beach and apartments for rent. Restaurants and cafés serving great local, Andalusian and Spanish specialities are also easy to find.

The railway stations of Estadio, Segunda Aguada, and Central link the city with the rest of the country, while the nearby Jerez Airport is 47 km away. If thinking of visiting southern Spain, check out the Cádiz accommodation deals on Booking.com!

We always love Cadiz as my husband was born there so we try and travel to Cadiz every summer from Australia. We love the beach, fish market is amazing and all the bars & restaurants and the churros & chocolate for breakfast we have tried many places and I think Cadiz has the best churros. Even better than in Madrid.

Cádiz is an incredible city to visit. Great beaches, 4 to be precise. Caleta, in the old town, it is ok but small and water is not as clean. Santa Maria del Mar, is good but not great. La Victoria is great but at times very busy. Cortadura is great and a little more "wild".

Cadiz is how Spain used to be, with lovely places to find excellent food and drink, at reasonable prices. Tapas bars are really good value. Avoid the 'touristy' spots and go off the beaten track - but you might get a bit lost! Walking around is the perfect option - I would imagine driving would be difficult in the narrow streets. It was obviously hot, being July, but you can find a breeze if you get near the ocean.

Gorgeous historic city where you can get a great taste of the Spanish life. On the days beach walks or street exploring. On the night the streets come alive with food, drink and music throughout the city. Go to the market, fresh food fish, meat and veg during the day. On the night full to bursting with locals eating and drinking, and absolutely fabulous buzz.

The hotel is right on the beach, and the view from our room was of the ocean...so beautiful! We had a small balcony which was a bonus. The pool is outstanding, really large, and there is a bar should you wish to enjoy a cocktail. I would definitely stay here again. Rooms is quite large, and beds are comfortable.

Enjoyed the bike tour of the city -lots of cycle lanes so very safe. Great tapas bars and restaurants - particularly liked Casa Lazo & Taberna Casa Manteca plus all the local stalls at the Mercado de Abastos -it’s so worth visiting. We didn’t have time to visit Jerez so instead went to Taberna las Manzanillas where the barman guided us through some different types of sherry direct from the casks. Bus station/train station very close to city centre so you can easily travel in/out of the city.

    - Super modern and stylish hotel with amazing facilities like pool, spa (for extra money) and buffet dinner plus a la carte pool restaurant (with very good food) - very rich and good breakfast - location on the beach with plenty of life/bars/restaurants around - can get to Cadiz city in 10 minutes by bike or taxi or 50 minutes walk along the sea (which I suggest as it is a lovely city) - rooms with balcony and sea view - very nice and strong sangrias, after one you have to go to sleep :)
