Perfect base to plan the excursion on the famous Route of Cares, but possibly not only. Staying overnight allows enjoying the magic of the place outside of the hours it is flooded by tourists. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

    Posada de Valdeon is a beautiful old 5 bedroom house, in a stunning location. Everything we needed to self cater was there. In a small village with a delightful bar that served delicious food. It is high up in the Picos mountains.

    We had a very good dinner at Hotel Cumbres de Valdeon.

    We had a very good dinner at Hotel Cumbres de Valdeon. Everything is within easy walking distance. Roads to the town and to other towns and trails are narrow but beautiful and we found other drivers to be very courteous!
