United StatesWE LOVED EVERYTHING! We were 3 ladies celebrating a birthday milestone. We were slightly "worried" the space might be too tight a squeeze for 3, but we were pleasantly surprised. The POD was spacious, well appointed, comfy and warm. The hot tub was delicious and the sauna up and running....what a treat. Communication with Christine was helpful and easy. The highlight of our visit, though, was walking into this gorgeous, bright, POD to a celebratory banner and and bottle of Prosecco. We were blown away by the gesture. We couldn't have been happier!

United StatesWhat a wonderful surprise. Pictures are often misleading, but the Salt House is as quaint, lovely and comfortable as portrayed on line, if not more so. April was an absolutely charming host, keeping us entertained while our breakfast sandwiches cooked. What an amazing story!
The rooms were almost decadent in their comfort. Roomy and plush, be careful not to drown in the pillows! Bathroom was excellent.
Breakfast was simple but amazingly tasty and filling. Located in the heart of Golspie, with the Chippy shop 2 doors down, and the Golspie Inn a short 10 minute walk for dinner. Assuming you are here to see Dunrobin Castle, it's a short 10 minute drive away.
April indicated plans to open a bar and expand the restaurant for dinner, and if they do, the Salt House will truly be a destination hotel, but it's great now, just the way it is.

Easy to get to Wick, John O’Groats and to drive over to the...
Easy to get to Wick, John O’Groats and to drive over to the west coast. Brora beach is a lovely walk with fantastic views. Only disappointment was the local pub was closed for refurbishment. The Bannockburn Inn, in Helmsdale is a brilliant friendly pub with good food though.

Going to the shore and the harbour you will find a beautiful area with lots of history. The town itself has a great ice cream shop and Sids makes fantastic curry's.
The area in which we stayed was great, quiet and scenic, overlooking the golf course and the bay. Easy for dog walkers.

lovely meal in the Curing yard at the Royal Marine hotel. we were only in town for a night. it didnt look like there was much else in town and the weather was cold but it was a good overnight stop for bikepacking with shops and cafes and bakers etc available.

Everything was perfect and attention to detail was remarkable including amazing welcome hamper. Beautifully clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend. Shirley and Gary are the perfect hosts. Would love to return in the future.

Beautiful sandy beaches. Plenty walks. Good hotels and a fantastic golf course. My only gripe! I asked for catch of the day (turbot) and on the menu it said with new potatoes and greens. It looked lovely but underneath the turbot was salmon. I can't stand salmon. Thankfully I'm not allergic but it did ruin our meal. However the rest of the meal was lovely and the staff went over and above. The royal marine is a lovely pet friendly hotel.

Petrol station in village too.
Bakery in village which sold lovely pies.
Pub and couple of gift shops.
Cafe too.
Great location for setting off on day trips on east coast, or west coast, or further down the coast below Brora such as Dunrobin Castle in Golspie, or even to the Black Isle.

Lovely setting with super views across the countryside out of Brora.
The weather was very kind and we were awoken by sunshine streaming through the window and were able to have breakfast outside on the decked area.
Well equipped kitchen.
Good hot shower.

Stunning cottage in lovely village, Brora. Beautiful views over river mouth and onwards to the sea. Walking distance to all the local shops, restaurants, beaches and golf course. Also great location to explore north Scotland.

Loved this well appointed hotel. Just what we were after - great staff, amazing food and a homely local feel. Loved sitting by the fire place with a wine, the staff couldn’t be nicer. We will be back.
