I made this booking for my husband, who has advanced Parkinson’s and was on a short trip to Scotland with his carer. The Roman Camp Hotel is where his parents met in 1940, and he was keen to spend one night there en route to meet the group of friends he was holidaying with in Lochearnside. I can’t speak from personal experience, therefore, but my husband said it was absolutely wonderful, the room was excellent both generally and for its disabled facilities, and that the staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful.

Charming hotel in the centre of Callander, surrounded by stunning scenery and walls. Excellent breakfasts. Only serving evening meals at weekends at present but their sister hotel across the road makes up for that. One of the guests managed to leave their bathroom tap running and flood the room below in the middle of the night, but the wonderful way the hotel handled it meant we all ended up friends with each other and were treated to a free dinner as well as having an excellent story to dine out on 😀

From the opening of the front door to welcome us to saying goodbye we felt like royalty. We stayed in room “5”. It was fabulous. Dina, and her wonderful smile, made our stay in Callander great. The optional breakfast is a must do. You are also given the opportunity to have a “to go” lunch for 6 1/2 pounds that is well worth it. We ate our “to go” lunch on the way to Skye. Folks this will exceed your expectations.

Deon was super friendly and very helpful with regards to local knowledge suggesting places for eating and walks. We had a twin room at top with its own wee lounge bit. The bathroom was clean and very modern. We had a lively view from our room and breakfast area. We were right in the centre of Callander just up a street but it meant it was quiet at night without the main road traffic.

Only continental served on a tray with plastic curlery, papers plaes etc and it was £5 per person However not sure if this was to do with covid or if the hotel has changed and that is all you can get now. The dining room was closed so breakfast this was served in the bar area. We did enjoy and we were served with tea and toast

the crown hotel is hard to fault our room was spotless, the food was really good as was the breakfast the room was nice and snug on a cold November night its not las vegas when it comes to entertainment but there is always something on a Saturday night and their prices are fair it's hard to knock.

The staff at Southfork was very friendly at check-in, breakfast and leaving. They all gave us good ideas on where to eat and what do to in the area. The room we stayed in and the house are very cute and it was right off of the main road with all the shops.

Even tho is called a hostel is more a hotel standard! For fourpeople we rendered a pod and a room and tehybqhere both amazing! View for the pod is beautiful and you have everything you need there. Very close to Callander City Centre so + for that as well

Lovely small hotel close to all amenities in Callander. Our room was big and very tastefully decorated with four windows to give views all around. Spotless clean. The breakfast was 5 star. Very friendly staff too.

We had a fantastic stay at the Highland Guest House. It was comfortable, well located, the staff was amazing, and the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to the area.

we were staying over while we attended a wedding in the area and the property was ideal for that. the property is more a mini hotel than a guest house, but still retains the charm of a b&b

Location was as described and very good. The barman and the local customers could not have been more friendly and the beer was excellent. Parking area also good. Room was clean and tidy.

Room was beautifully decorated, food in bar was of a great standard and very reasonable, staff where excellent. Hotel right in centre of Callander.

On main street of Callender so easy to walk to shops and restaurant. From the US and found the BEST restaurant in the world across the street....Chinese Village.

We were happy with the location, equipment, cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
