Hi Hotel was lovely and staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and our only regret was not having our evening meal here. Room was slightly small but we knew that before booking. We'll definitely go back.
We did a couple of walks in the Bowland Forest which we found online. Lovely scenery. Recommend you go early for parking. We ate at The Calf's Head - fantastic menu and reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and approachable staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. Would love to go back.
Great stay lovely staff. Breakfast excellent. There was noise from the road I would take ear plugs otherwise this was great value for money I will stay again. Hoping there will be room at the Inn
Nice little town centre. Good little walk up to the Castle. Great sausage shop. Had very good snack lunch in The White Lion Hotel on Monday (1st time allowed inside). Very pleasant lady served us. Good distancing inside.
We only stayed a night for a friends birthday so didn't get chance to explore. We visited 2 places, Key Street pub and the Escape Lounge for bottomless brunch which was great, best Bloody Mary I have had for ages!
Would have spent more time in Clitheroe however as the hotel was no where near Clitheroe and in fact had to pass through several nice towns to get to and from Clithroe due to incorrect details listed by Booking.com ,would not advise anybody to book The Avenue if wanting to visit Clitheroe or the Trough of Bowland
Beautiful modern room in a refurbished stable/out building. Room has own entrance directly into courtyard, which was important for us as we were travelling with our dog, who can be nervous of new buildings. Very clean and nicely decorated room, we were only stopping over on a drive north but there was lots of lovely info on exploring the surrounding area, for those that have more time. The pub entrance and outdoor area is right opposite the room, which was really convenient for dinner and not too noisy.
Second visit to this hotel having stayed here last yr for family wedding we wanted to return. This time we had chance to visit the food hall and have a light lunch,be prepared to spend though as the food and drink produce is amazing in the shopping area. The only problem we did find is the room got too hot and the pillows arnt the best but after few drinks in the hotel and beer hall we didn’t really care.:)

Joanne and her family are so kind, they really looked after us and even let us visit their dairy farm. The yurt and facilities were amazing, the views were breathtaking and the location was perfect. The breakfast hamper was delicious and great portion size. The farm was only a 15 minute drive away from Clitheroe town centre, where we spent most of our time, trying all the great local food and drink.

The rooms we had was very nicely done and comfortable with plenty of space. The team were very helpful and with a freshly cooked breakfast on hand each day it couldn’t have been better in my view. Great VFM.
