My whole experience was lovely. The hotel and staff were welcoming and the breakfast was amazing with a good selection to choose from.
The only downside for me was that the mattress was too soft, but other than that I would award 4 stars across the board.

Lots of lovely places to visit in and around Clitheroe.
Lots of lovely places to visit in and around Clitheroe. Lovely Mexican/Spanish restaurant called The Wellsprings, Sabden, well worth a visit serving excellent food and a beautiful views across the valley. For a lovely all-day breakfast try the wonderful Hindelinis restaurant and bar on the historic Gisburne Park Estate. If it's a Sunday roast you are after, why not try the fabulous Rhubarb restaurant in the Herriots Hotel in Skipton. We had a nice roast beef dinner in there when we visited. Not far we visited Malham Cove, Janet's Floss waterfall and Gordale Scar - a lovely 4 1/2 mile walk from Malham.

The questions don't reflect the stay, we chose the hotel and the length of stay because we had booked a dinner in a local restaurant. Whalley, not Clitheroe (Geographically error on the B.com website) is a lovely village, generally.

The best part would have to be the view! I love a good view and the pictures on the website don’t do it’s justice, when you get there and you see it for yourself it really does blow you away (if you have an eye for views like me anyway!)

Staff so very welcoming & accommodating, thank you. Very clean & a great location to explore Clitheroe centre & castle. Coming back after the lounge closes means using the fire escape but it takes you to the ground floor of the hotel side of the property. There are 2 hotel floors.
The room was excellent, as was the breakfast. The soap had a lovely smell to it. Comfy beds and facilities.
It is situated in a brilliant area for walking and a general mooch around Clitheroe.
