The rooms were lovely and bed comfortable. Food was amazing in the restaurant and the staff were all so nice. The location was good too, short walk to the centre with the bars and restaurants. Location was beautiful too with lovely views of the ocean.

Good location, clean rooms, nice system and the breakfast of paradise. Seriously, we have traveled and lived on five continents and that breakfast was the best we have ever had, for eight quid!!!

Liked the communication from the host. The lodge was well kept clean and very comfortable. The host has decorated in a lovely style with a lot of personal touches making it feel homely. The extra added touches of welcome basket of goodies and milk were much appreciated. The location was perfect with not being overlooked at the back of the property and felt safe. Would thoroughly recommend and book again. didn't have enough time to use the facilities at the park.

The caravan was really lovely. We didn't get to spend much time there as we were visiting for a family wedding but watching the wild life whilst drinking our morning coffee was lovely. The beds were really comfortable and there were so many lovely extra touches provided by the host. I would definitely recommend and love to return in the future.

I loved everything and will stay again! Staff couldn’t do enough, food amazing and our accommodation was amazingly clean! Couldn’t ask for anything more. When we are next in the area we will certainly book the restaurant as the food was amazingly good - recommend the Scottish breakfast and the curry!

I used to spend my summer holidays in Dunbar and visit...

I used to spend my summer holidays in Dunbar and visit relatives. The coastal trail is lovely you get good views if Bass Rock, Berwick Law, Dunbar Castle, what's left of it. We also visited the monument to commemorate the Battle of Dunbar. Plenty of cafes and little shops to visit and not forgetting the Bridge to Nowhere at Belhaven beach. Swimming pool and harbour are also good places to visit as well as the local beach at Whitesands. John Muir country park is worth a visit too. Lots of walking can be done or just a gentle stroll.

The location was perfect for us to go sightseing (which there is plenty of it). Dunbar is a beautiful undisturbed town and a lovely harbour to walk around. Loved sitting overlooking the bay eating fish and chips which were excellent too.

Fast access by train for Edinburgh.

Fast access by train for Edinburgh. Often advance fares available at cheaper price. The Creel Restaurant is very good and specialises in Fish. Both the main street and the beaches are worth exploring.

Dunbar is a small town near Edinburgh.

Dunbar is a small town near Edinburgh. There is a train station that connect town with Scotland and England. Edinburgh is max 20 Min by train. The coast line in beautiful. Beautiful cliffs and you can see famous Bass Rock and the hills. There are ruins of the castle in Dunbar. The town is located 4 min max from the sea side by walk. Not many restaurants, no many take away. I have not seen any coffee places. The shops are small and probabl run by private owners. Town that suits older people not someone who like busy cities. No shopping mall there. Good for relax on the sea side but no much activities even in the sea. Local people seem to be very friendly and helpful.

An absolute delight to visit, lots to see and do.

An absolute delight to visit, lots to see and do. We will be returning and probably staying in Dunbar itself, as we were staying about 10 minutes out of town at a holiday site. Very nice, but would have preferred to not have to drive so much. Belhaven Beach is really lovely, with the Bridge To Nowhere, and we went to East Beach and walked round the castle. Just brilliant. Such a lovely friendly town, be sure to visit the John Muir Museum. We had a day in Edinburgh, but should have stayed longer to see more of it all.

My family and I loved walking around Dunbar and my grandkids...

My family and I loved walking around Dunbar and my grandkids really really loved the swimming pool . With the waves!!. There was so much to do and lovely playing parks One highlight was the East Links Park we spend hours there a must for every family .

We were welcomed by the member of staff, who quickly confirmed our booking, showed us where the breakfast would be served in the morning, gave us the key to the room, explaining that it would also get us in the front door, should we be late returning to the hotel, then pointed us upstairs to our room. This was the only problem at that point as the room was up two flights of stairs, with no lift. (We're no longer young and fit). The room was comfortable and clean as was the en-suite shower room.

Staying here wont suit everyone. Its a no thrills basic exprience but its not a cut price experince. Everything is very clean, well organised, well thought out. I love the retro furnishing in the public area. Theres secure bike storage and e bike batteries can be charged. Dunbar itself is charming.

Great stay, chose Dunbar as good rail links to Edinburgh and Glasgow but Dunbar itself is an interesting town. The hotel was excellent, excellent host, great room, comfortable bed, minor issue with one evening meal but in general the restaurant and staff were excellent.
