Loved the fact the train station was near but not so you would hear it. Lovely little town and right on the door step to historic Portsmouth. Titchfield Haven and its Visitor Centre. Westbury Manor Museum in Fareham town centre offers an interesting insight into Fareham's past
The town is well placed for visiting other larger centres such as Portsmouth, Southampton and Chichester, and is not as crowded as some locations. The road system around the centre takes a bit of getting used to, but sometimes leads you to places which are unexpectedly attractive. Fort Nelson, part of the Royal Armouries, is well worth a visit.
The "Fareham" pub was really welcoming and friendly and directly opposite was "Dragon" Chinese restaurant and takeaway where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The service was excellent and I would recommend a trip to them. It was a twenty minute stroll from the hotel so we were able to have a drink and not have to worry about getting a taxi.
Fareham itself too far off the beaten track. We had a car so no issue. If the water issue had not arisen it was great. Also hotel alarm went off twice early in the morning but nothing was wrong. It had just tripped off.
Excellent Hotel. Good location and loads of stuff to do!! M27 close by. I can imagen this hotel been good spot for binsiness travellers!! Shops, restaurants, cafe, garage and beach not far. Everything you need is at hand! Buses, taxi services ect, all good.
We travelled to Fareham to spend time with family following a sad loss of a family member so were not there for sightseeing so can't really comment on places to visit but there is a Harvester restaurant within a few yards which is very handy if you choose to go out for an evening meal.
Breakfast was great except it wasn’t included but that didn’t matter to me as my kids ate free so that made it great value, it was a very good selection of foods and nice that covid had been taken into account - Individual portioned our items which were all quality and a great selection. Nice clean bright fresh foyer and seating area inside foyer. Good amount of hangers in the room - that is always a problem when I stay in hotels but this hotel was good for that. It appeared to be clean.

Plus, Whiteley shopping centre was only few minutes' drive away. Hotel or more like the lodge had good parking facilities and very dog friendly. Friendly staff.
