Nice property with a restaurant and bar. Although it sits on top of a bar and next to the railroad, it was not loud and no disruption to sleep. The host provided a mask and ear plugs - but they were not needed.

    Shame not many shops in Harlech itself and limited places to eat as didn't serve food every evening. Nice short walk to an expansive sandy beach. Transport needed to reach destinations further away, although train station & buses available to access elsewhere. Llanfair Slate Mines & Harlech Castle definitely worth a visit, plenty of shops in nearby Barmouth too. Plenty of dog friendly beaches too for our furry friends, who tired themselves out every day, especially after walking the 25% & 40% gradient hills up into Harlech itself.

    Harlech is a lovely village with all you need for a getaway...

    Harlech is a lovely village with all you need for a getaway whether a night or longer. The town people were friendly and accommodating the castle was most interesting and clean with the friendly staff made it easy to get around. The coffee was great also at the castle tea room. Lots of little shops for your needs and souvenirs and braising. Plenty of opportunities for a memorable picture snap.

    Castle Cottage Inn provides great accommodation and service.

    Castle Cottage Inn provides great accommodation and service. Epecially for those who are interested in medieval castles. It is located right by Harlech Castle (5 minute walking distance). Not to mention it has a spectacular view of the landscape. Includes the beach, golf course and countryside. Also, their are plenty of our pubs/restaurants to eat near by and small independent shops selling all kinds of interesting items.

    We did not see very much of the town.

    We did not see very much of the town. We did not visit the castle. We could not find any good restaurants in Harlech and so ate at Portmeirion and Portmadog. What we did see of Harlech gave us the impression that the town is a little run down in some areas. We have read that the beach is excellent, and the castle is superb, but we did not have time to visit either.

    Lovely people. But it's a ghost town.

    Lovely people. But it's a ghost town. It was raining (not their fault), no restaurants' or bars or cafes were open. In affect the town is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The area feels neglected and is certainly not geared up for holidays. We booked for two nights and left after one. Not the fault of the people or property we stayed at. Just that the town is miserable place to be.

    The Crown Lodge is an amazing place to stay, an impressive house just outside Harlech, with a wonderful view of the rugged Welsh coastline. The house has an elegant timber staircase and the rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. A delicious full English breakfast is available if desired and the hosts, Linda and Mark are warm and friendly, there is also secure parking. We wished we could have stayed longer!

    charming and peaceful place ideal for relaxation. This hotel has an amazing and warm atmosphere. The rooms are clean and modern, the service is very nice. Amazing food, delicious starters, dinners, breakfasts and desserts. Near this hotel there is a castle that is worth visiting. It is also worth seeing the sandy beach which is located near the hotel. Perfect location. I recommend

    A great little place, with the emphasis on the 'little'. Nevertheless, there was enough space for this dad and two teenagers. Of particular importance to us was how well equipped the kitchen was, which is crucial because at the start of the season Harlech doesn't have many options for eating out. Enjoyed our time here. ☺️

    Great location and ideal for playing golf at Harlech or nearby courses, but understandably only three dedicated car parking spaces. Very friendly and clean, with comfortable bed and a good shower.
