United KingdomWhat an incredible stay, starting off with an evening stroll along Herne Bay beach front to watch the sunset and dinner at a lovely Turkish restaurant. The host was absolutely delightful - he met us at the property to welcome us and show us round, answering any questions we had. The facilities were brilliant, beds and furniture were extremely comfortable. To our surprise we woke up on Sunday morning to a wonderful market being set up outside! Very excited to wonder down there for breakfast now. The property is in a fantastic location with parking available right outside.

The beach is shingle and appears to bank quite steeply.
The beach is shingle and appears to bank quite steeply. I did'nt see for myself but I understand there are sandy patches once the tide goes out. Probably better crabbing on the pier rather than bucket and spade. It's a pleasant walk along the seafront, nicely landscaped gardens. Lots of ice cream parlours and fish n chip shops. There is a long stretch of amusement arcades, a kiddies play ground and rides at the end of the pier. I think Herne Bay is a great place for a family outing.

Herne Bay is a lovely old English seaside town.
Herne Bay is a lovely old English seaside town. The buildings along the seafront are a perfect mixed of old, not so old and modern. There are all the sjops you would expect in a small place like this. The best thing though is that the bus service around Canterbury is excellent with frequent buses to all the most interesting places. It was very easy to explore this coastal region using either bus or train.

Has lost its lustre and not much going on there now.
Has lost its lustre and not much going on there now. Plus the free parking has stopped too. The once bustling Saturday market is now pretty non existent, with only about 5 stalls left. Shame.
On the plus side, still has a lovely long promenade, with paved areas and gardens to have a nice walk with the dogs. Traditional sweets and ice cream shops along the front was good to see too

A lovely 'old style' seaside town with plenty of places to eat and drink. Close to many other locations so a great base to explore from. The pubs and restaurants were all reasonably priced and the service was second to none. Best place for fish & chips, on the seafront - Dean's Plaice - suitably named. A great choice for both eat in and take away. The staff are supper friendly.

The management asked me to pay extra 100 pounds after i have paid for my accomation.
Asked the reason for paying extra 100 pounds .
The lady i spoked with, said if i dont pay the extra 100 pounds ,i will not have access to my room that i booked for nd paid .
The lady that i spoked with promised that my 100 pounds will be refund back to my account when i check out.
Uptill now ,the management has not refund me my 100 pounds and i have tried several times to call the management .
The contact phone number cannot be reached till now.
I will take it up !

In my opinion, Herne Bay is a very underrated Kent seaside...
In my opinion, Herne Bay is a very underrated Kent seaside town. There are plenty of quirky things to do and shops to explore if you are walk around and seek them out. There is a bustling community spirit to be found and a there is a rich vein of Victorian history running through the area, when you scratch the surface.
Of an evening though, sadly like many coastal towns in England, there is the propensity for those more academically challenged to drive around with either loud or silly popping and crackling exhaust systems. They seem to be trying their best to speed up and down the seafront, despite the speed bumps, to make as much anti-sociable racket as possible. Like audible peacocks (look at me, look at me!). Maybe I'm just getting too old or maybe this is just how the local boys attract each other for 'romantic' liaisons.
I would love to see a little Police presence, as this might encourage some slightly more mature behaviour from our hood wearing brethren. But as we all know, times are hard and our boys and girls in blue have more important things to do.
Although great, I feel Herne Bay has the potential to be even greater...

A spacious property just a a few minutes walk from the pier and centre of Herne Bay. Facilities were all as you would expect, although we ate out each night so didn't use the cooker. Everything was clean. Parking not an issue on the road outside. Didn't use the hot tub so can't comment on that. Sam was very responsive to a problem with a blocked pipe, which he fixed promptly.

Stunning location looking out over Hampton bay. The house is spacious and stylish, very comfortable with lovely features like the sunburst windows. Our granddaughter was very excited to see the terrace and garden. The welcome milk and wine were much appreciated. A lovely stroll along to Herne bay made the location perfect.

Lovely owners, very friendly. Short walk to the seafront of Herne Bay and all local amenities. There is no TV or en-suite, but the shared bathroom is next door. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the boiler, and we had no hot water for our morning shower, but the owners offered us a discount on our next stay.

Amazing view, right on the beach. Nice decor and furniture. Great little veranda. Thoughtful security lighting, selection of games, wide corridor, powerful shower, safe secure space for our dog, and short walk to Herne Bay..
