A nice Dales village, some steep roads if you are infirm, but an easy walk from the apartment to the high street with a good choice of eating places. The waterfall walk is great but a lot of steps and takes a couple of hours.
The Ingleton Waterfalls walk was lovely - be warned that it is quite strenuous and the ice cream van half way round is very welcome! Malham Cove, Janet's Foss and Gardale Scar are a must visit too - you can do the circular walk with the steps, or you can split in half and do 2 separate walks from the central car park. This part of Yorkshire is absolutely beautiful with so many places to visit - make sure you do your research before you get there...
I really enjoyed Ingleton and we meant to visit the Falls however it was extremely busy due to us coming out of the lock down . We fully intend to revisit both Ingleton and the falls and the surrounding areas at a future date when it is less busy. Due to it being really busy we did not get to really explore the village.
Marton Hotel excellent location, visited viaduct and ingleton waterfalls , plenty to do there just ran out of time, lovely pub called The Masons close by that was recommended by Marton , excellent food and service. Ingleton itself was a charming village and the scenery very pretty .
Quaint village with some lovely scenery and good places to eat and drink. The old Post Office is a must for real ale. The Marton Arms for excellent home made food and Joanna the land lady couldn't have been more friendly, nothing was to much trouble for her.
The village is lovely, alot of shops and pubs are shut in January, as pretty quiet. But enough to enjoy. The marton Arms, on the outskirts of the village does lovely food and has a 60 gins to choose from. The waterfall trail is highly recommended and very popular, at any time of year. So is White Scar caves. All around there are some fabulous walks, through beautiful countryside. Loads of places to see. You can never need anything as there are 2 co-ops to shop in, one on the main street and a large one, five minutes drive away. Plenty of other little shops in the village too.
