Leirsinn Mhor is a detached house set in an acre of land, located in Killin with mountain and river views. We stayed here with 11 adults and 3 children. The house was spotless, very comfortable and so well equipped which helped make our trip so enjoyable. There was loads of space for the kids including the large garden where they could run around and play (including the big kids) the games room was an added bonus (so much fun in there) The location is stunning with easy access to the local amenities. The owners Paul and Jan were fantastic with communication before and after our trip, we honestly couldn't have asked for better. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Leirsinn Mhorr and we'll defiantly return.

Unfortunately due to the Covid restrictions it was not possible to dine at the hotels within Killin. However we did order a takeaway from Courie Inn. Highly recommended, as was the chipper situated at the Community centre. Killin is a lovely little village and well worth a stay if you are a walker, hiker or someone who wishes to get away from the hustle bustle of urban life.
Lovely little village by the loch side. There is a caravan site and I would imagine it to be quite lively in the summer under normal (none Covid) circumstances. There are plenty of walks for those who like to spend their time out in nature and the Falls of Dochart are just around the corner
Stunning village, especially now during autumn. the bridge, the Falls of Dochart and surrounds were simply stunning. Also drove to nearby Fortingall to see the 3000 year old Yew tree. Lovely village. The drive through Glen of Lyon to Bridge of Balgie was well worth it... simply stunning. Also the drive through Ben Lawers National Park passed the hydroelectric dam was beautiful
Killin is a small village but has a good amount of hotels which have bars in them if you are looking for somewhere for a meal or a drink, there is a co-op shop if required an outdoor shop if you forget to bring waterproofs or anything else, it also hires bikes canoes etc. there is a takeaway place which has tables and chairs outside during the day and there was one small restaurant as well near the center car park. The area is good as you can travel to Aberfeldy easily and if wanted near Munro Mountains with Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas only about 5 miles from hotel, Glencoe Mountains about 40 miles away with Ski center on route. You have the falls as yoiu enter or exit Killin depending on which direction you arrive in the village with a nice walk in the wood accessed from the bridge where there are red squirrels.
Killin is a small village that is ideal for walking / cycling. Also for touring as it is close to many other larger towns. There is a beautiful waterfall, Falls o Dochart, this is large area of rugged water steps.
area was excellent for walking, running and relaxation. if its bright lights and shopping youre after this is not the place to go. if its somewhere to chill out, take in the scenery and enjoy the great outdoors, look no farther.
