United StatesIt was clean, spacious for our group of 7. We enjoyed sitting in the garden relaxing after a long day of traveling and exploring the Isle of Skye. Maisy’s hideaway was easy to find and the location was very good as a home base. I would recommend it

It fit the purpose of our trip which was an auto tour of the island of Skye. We would have preferred to stay further up the island but could not find a hotel with vacancies there. This town is no longer very scenic, but it worked for us.

It's a convenient place to base yourself and easy to get to...
It's a convenient place to base yourself and easy to get to after a long journey. A lot of other villages are accessible from here as this is in a handy location Its not overly congested with traffic and also peaceful start to visiting Skye.

The Saucy Mary had lovely food. Ate there 3 nights.
The Saucy Mary had lovely food. Ate there 3 nights. Also visited the other two restaurants/pubs which are all close by.It's easy to get around and very quiet. The people we met were also very friendly.

Karen has done a great job bringing Hollybank together as a beautiful place to stay.
From the brand new kitchen any chef would be at home in( i am one) the dining and living room area adjacent with the lovely fireplace
Upstairs bedrooms were clean and tidy and the beds were great the positioning of the bathroom between the rooms is excellent
It is along way to come back from australia but if we were in the area it would be our first choice.Finally Karen thanks for the offer of doing some washing for us a great gesture as a host good luck you deserve to reap the rewards.The best place we have stayed in our Irish and UK Adventure

Good location to access the Isle of Skye as well as locations on the mainland. Plenty of eating places within a short drive to suit all tastes. Lots of interesting places to visit and walks for the more energetic.

There seems to be a lot of closed up cafes /business...
There seems to be a lot of closed up cafes /business premises in Kyleakin. Its a sprawling sort of place, maybe we hit it at a bad time. I would not have been too keen to stay there but for our cottage which was fabulous and if we had been staying longer it would have been a lovely house to base oneself in for trips to the rest of the island.

Very clean and comfortable, and great location - walkable into Kyleakin and also very handy for the Bridge and main road to access rest of Skye, but quiet backwater with scenic views from top floor bedrooms. Host Janette was very responsive, including providing washing powder when we found there wasn't any.

The hotel was in a fantastic location overlooking the Skye bridge.
The room was ok overlooking the car park.
Dinner was very good, but an extra cost.
Breakfast was your standard buffet similar to most hotels.
