Pocklington is fairly compact, with two of the big supermarkets having a presence there. This was perfect as I was staying with my partner at the local resort, we like to have a look around and get our supplies from local shops. We enjoyed a meal and a drink at the local public house, Black Bull which I'm happy to say was very welcoming and had a great atmosphere. Lovely little place within easy reach of York. We ate at the Feathers - good menu and delicious food. For a small place Pocklington has plenty of food places.

I was only in Pocklington for three days, two nights.
I was only in Pocklington for three days, two nights. For my daughters wedding. The people were very friendly and all the shop owners were courteous, polite and very helpful. It appears to be a very nice place. As my daughter will be living on and off in a nearby village Bishop Wilton I will be staying in the Carpenters Cottage 28 Union Street. Ran by a lovely Couple Patrick and Helen. Beautiful small well equipped cottage, which I'm 100% in love with, and would love to live in it full-time. Lol I'll hopefully be able to see more of the town and gardens when I visit again. So far I love what I've seen. 👍for Pocklington and it's people. 👏👏👏Guest review bymurray - 10.0

A lovely picturesque small market town. Xmas lights particularly impressive. Good choice of pubs, cafes, restaurants. The Lodge was nice and cosy quite modern decor. We had a lake view form our balcony. The hot tub was lovely and relaxing , their was a bit of a screen around via the fence so your not overlooked when using it. The two single beds were really comfy. Lovely modern bathrooms.
