Quite a large market town with a variety of shops and eateries, tea shops. There is a small park near the river at the end of town but it is near the bust dual carriageway. Ringwood Brewery is great value for money and worth a visit id you like real ales but you must book. The town is very well situated on the edge of the NF and its easy to get to Christchurch, Lyndhurst, Bournemouth, etc.
A small market town on the Hampshire-Dorset border, it has expanded physically and character-wise over the last twenty years to become a very good tourist centre for the surrounding area. Lots of historic buildings, pubs and restaurants.
The cottage is just perfect. We loved our stay there and wished we had booked to stay longer. The owners Wendy and Phil are so welcoming and the cottage is exceptionally, clean, comfortable and spacious. Loved having the little patio area and it’s in a perfect location to explore the New Forest. There’s a little farm shop, petrol station and the town of Ringwood is just around the corner. Lyndhurst is only 8.5 miles and Beaulieu was about 30 minutes drive. Couldn’t recommend little banks more, we can’t wait to book our return visit.
This property is excellent. From start to finish, we could not have asked for more. The location, rooms, hospitality, grounds and food are all top drawer. This place is truly and highly recommended. I never generally write or leave reviews but I was so impressed by this hotel and it's owners re the personal service we received that I felt that I should tell you all what a truly great place this is.
Spacious house with two cosy upstairs rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts very personable and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Easy to get to New Forest (2 mins from A31). Property has a lovely outside pool with great views for miles. Breakfast was great too.
Very quiet surroundings. Outstanding accommodation. Exceptionally clean and well thought out. Beautiful scenery enhanced by the New Forest ponies.
We enjoyed watching the birds feeding in the garden and the views across the countryside. The annex was a useful base for exploring the New Forest.

Clean and easy access to the New Forest
The room was clean and located within a very close distance to the car park and the Pub. Amy was an excellent hostess and nothing was too much trouble. Customer service at it's very best. The evening meal was good old fashioned Pub Grub and tasty and hot. The breakfast was one of the best I have had on my travels. All in all excellent value for money and a perfect stay. I will definitely visit again.
This was the perfect place to stay to be near family during a very upsetting time. It gave us a bolt hole to call home, for the time we needed it. Everything was clean & comfortable and easy to access. We would definitely use Avon View again . A little haven that we were so glad we found!
Absolutely beautiful place to stay, with everything we needed and more, very cosy and relaxing. Owners were very friendly as were all the animals. Definitely will go back.
