Saltburn is a growing small resort. Plenty of independent bars and eateries to enjoy. I would highly recommend Signals for both food and drink, though are plenty of alternatives. Absolutely beautiful location.
Absolutely beautiful location. Lots of little trinket shops, some nice pubs and a train station right into the Saltburn town. Would recommend it for a holiday. A visit to The Ship pub was nice, right on the seafront. Nice Fish and Chip Shop in the town also.Guest review byMaryUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Runswick Bay where we stayed was lovely but we didn’t like...
Runswick Bay where we stayed was lovely but we didn’t like Saltburn. It was very tacky - there seemed to be bus loads of loud obnoxious people everywhere. We ate at a lovely seafood restaurant and that redeemed it slightly! A shame as the scenery is stunning, we went back for breakfast at the spa hotel which was better as up the hill from the beach and pier so we enjoyed the views without the noise.Guest review byHeidiUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Very clean, spacious and well equipped apartment. Close to the train station, bars, restaurants and cafes. Free parking on the street and outside the apartment. A short walk to access the beach which was lovely - you can walk down the steep hill to the beach or go on the venicular Cliffe top lift. Small, Victorian seaside town.
Small, Victorian seaside town. Beautiful beach (dog friendly all year at each end) with great facilities, outdoor showers, toilets (that are free!), surf hire and lots of independent cafes, wine bars, restaurants and proper pubs. People are always lovely and happy to chat and area is very dog friendly. We visit several times a year now and our dogs even get excited when they recognise where we are! Redcar is a short drive, bus or train ride away where you will find bigger arcades for the kids and a more typical town centre. Visiting the cinema there on the beach is a must. It’s small, so don’t expect massive screens, but the seats are plush, the staff are great and there is a bar that overlooks the sea!Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom
