The Corncroft Guest House was perfect. It's a delightful Regency? building that I think used to be called the Parliament House, it's close to the center of Witney which has a very good Market on Saturday mornings

We were only there for 1 night (we hadn't come specifically to visit Witney), but on the walk around we had it seems to be a lovely place with plenty of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. I plan to return for a longer visit sometime.

Having been born in Witney, I can only say that it is a lovely town with lots of pubs and restaurants and walks along the Windrush River and with historical museums based on what once was thriving blanket making factories and the beautiful church at the top of Church Green.

We have done the sightseeing over the years and being senior citizens not interested in walking/hiking, although there are trails for those who are!

Witney wasn't too bad there wasn't much to do there only...
Witney wasn't too bad there wasn't much to do there only walk around the shops ,nice little church ,museum wasn't much at all took about 5mins to go round it ,Burford town was very nice ,saw the farmers dog pud owned by Jeremy Clarkson on the way ,went to Burford wild life park the best one I have ever been to ,there were loads of animals, birds ,reptiles, even a train to ride on ,we spent 4 hrs there, it cost £14 each and worth every penny ,Blemham palace was very nice too very interesting, also the crocodile farm was good just got there in time to see the crocodiles feed ,all the places are in easy reach from the pub ,we stayed Mon to Friday and eat at the pud for our evening meal which was out of this world ,the fish and chips were to die for ,never have I tasted the chicken meal so good expensive but worth every penny ,To sum up our holiday (Brilliant)

Typical Cotswold town - a bit old fashioned but a great range of shops and some lovely buildings especially in Market Square.
In some streets every third house was derelict which gave an overall uneasy feeling. Not sure why this is as other streets had houses very well cared for.
Very friendly people and the bus drivers were exceptionally helpful and pleasant

To start with the good points. The hotel is located in a beautiful Cotswolds hamlet. Our room and bathroom in terms of decor and general amenities were overall extremely good and immaculately clean. The breakfast was more than acceptable, although the service wasn’t particularly attentive and the restaurant was quite cold, so much so that a number of guests were actually wearing either coats or scarves.

An amazing hotel I stayed with my wife for 1 night as she had a meeting the next day in Oxford,we stayed in the Blenheim suite a beautiful room, we had a Sunday roast it was perfect and breakfast was of the same quality,we will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

Comfortable bed in a pleasant room. A large car park just off the A40 was most convenient and an enjoyable evening meal with good real ale and wine was most welcome. Staff were friendly. Good location between Witney and Oxford handy for exploring the area.

relaxing beautiful little gem in the cotswolds countryside, stunning views from the back garden, 15 minutes drive from The Farmers Dog restaurant, very quite area, tucked away in the corner of a close, no through traffic, we would 100% come back *****
