Set within 50 acres of Berkshire countryside, Cantley House Hotel, Wokingham is a spacious 38 bedroom boutique hotel boasting a 2 Rosette restaurant and convenient access from Reading, Windsor and... Location is great - not far from Heathrow, parks, woods and meadows close by for exploring, easy to find, quiet and peaceful. Staff were very helpful, food was good, and the building is beautiful. Room was large, plenty of space for a cot for a toddler.
Located in Wokingham, The Emmbrook Inn Hotel has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was very good. Accomodation was clean and comfortable.
Set in Wokingham, Mayfields Guest House has a shared lounge, garden and free WiFi throughout the property. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Working in the hospitality field myself, I can say that this property truly exceeded my expectations! It is definitely a 5 stars luxury service, the hosts are lovely and truly care about their guests(ex: they proactively ask and contact you in advance about your arrival time/breakfast information/restaurants around). The room was spotless (I was shocked of how clean it was (no jokes!) Super clean! We will definitely be back for longer this time! Thank you :)
Located in Winnersh in the Berkshire Region, Sadlers Guest House features a terrace and views of the garden. Off-road parking is available within the grounds of the property. Very helpful guest house owner and well equipped room with touches such as free water and milk. Good breakfast with whatever you wanted cooked fresh Great location and not far from M&S food for evening snack. Would recommend this highly (and have stayed at some of the chain hotels nearby and been disappointed). Sticking here from now on!
Located in Wokingham, Kings Cottage provides accommodations with a terrace and free WiFi. The property is 12 mi from Slough, and complimentary private parking is provided. Well located in town centre. Very comfortable bed & furniture. Fully equipped. Host provided a lot of basic food for the stay. Which was a great touch
Set in Wokingham, this townhouse features free WiFi. The unit is 30 mi from Oxford. A dishwasher, an oven and a microwave can be found in the kitchen. A flat-screen TV and Xbox 360 are available. The team at The Kings House have done a lovely job of making this your home away from home. We were greeted with a lovely continental breakfast, two fabulous coffee/espresso machines, a fully stocked kitchen, individual robes and house slippers plus many more for guests, your own toiletry bag with everything you need included. The beds were comfortable, the double glazing kept out most street noise in the bedroom, blackout curtains, alarm clock that dims, nice shower in the Windsor Suite, and a great family bathroom. The heater/cooling throughout the house worked really well. We comfortably had a dinner party (twice) for ten people while we were there. Perfect location for Wokingham, close to everything, Waitrose just a few steps away. We will return.
A quiet town within reach for both work & leisure. A drive of less than 2 hours will get you to central London, avoiding expensive accommodation cost of Central London & yet you could enjoy the nature & quietness at Wokingham after a day out at London.
Big impressive building in lovely grounds, nothing wrong with the room or the breakfast but the whole interior is in need of a freshen up and it was very quiet as we stayed mid week. The bar was almost empty. Lovely terrace overlooking formal gardens so if weather is warm, a nice place to sit and have a drink. Imagine it would come to life at weekends with weddings and other events.
Great Restaurants and Pubs. Sampa and Piccolo arco, both indepenants and great food. There is a pub for everyone, Cocktail bars, Sports bars, Traditional country pubs i.e. The Queens Head on The Terrace and Music Venues.
Wokingham township is undergoing major building and annoying traffic flow alteration at the moment. The town is a 70 minute train trip from London westwards. I do not recommend it as a place to stay. Good bus services. Good Italian and Indian restaurants.
Excellent Room. I was given the best facilities without having to be assertive. Friendly Staff approach from the minute I arrived. Relaxing, private environment yet always someone available for a friendly word. By far One of the best place I've stayed in a while. I'll return as often as possible.
The building and the bedroom were beautiful. An old converted Mansion House. The breakfast buffet was good, but not always topped up. We chose to eat in Wokingham town centre, which has a large selection of good restaurants. The town centre is about 6-10 minutes drive away. About £6 in a taxi. We attended as guests of a wedding package on our second day. Wokingham is a good place to stay if somebody wants to explore Reading or Bracknell.
