We loved everything about this property: the location, interior decoration, architecture, views of Santorini and the sea. The amenities were excellent, and the hotel provides a fantastic breakfast with one of a kind views. The owners and resident chef who prepared the breakfast were all very kind and hospitable people. We never wanted to leave! Truly, are time at Arxegano Cave Hotel was the highlight of our trip.

This is not merely another property .. Elessa is the dream of Yanni its owner who is personally involved and present on the property. Every aspect right from reservations to ensuring pick up from the airport or port is promptly and warmly done. Elessa is a luxurious property in Pyrgos with a fantastic view of the sea. Pyrgos which was the capital of Santorini is a pretty village with character and some great food options. While the sunset from OIA is justifiably famous, we found the sunset view from the Pyrgos castle (15 mins walk from Elessa) to be stunning too .. Mike who works with Elessa to handle transport is very dependable and friendly … he has been six sigma in terms of ensuring we get picked up and dropped off on time everytime. We had the villa with hot pool and we throughly enjoyed our time at Elessa. Breakfast is very good too and wirh multiple freshly cooked options. Overall a lovely experience and we look forward to being back :)

The service was top notch. A boutique hotel where the reception and rest of the services are concentrated on making your stay comfortable, and orientating one to the area and restaurants. The breakfast was fresh and novel and I throughly enjoyed the menu items. The same for lunch. Caters for vegetarians too. The room was spacious as I had the junior suite with a hot tub and view of the pool. Well appointed chic room with bathroom amenities, and a good sized safe. Comfortable bed with clean linens. In general well kept hygienic spaces at the hotel. The spa treatments are highly recommended and the private sauna, steam and hot tub were just what I needed to relax. The area Pyrgos is quieter than the rest of Santorini and in the hills it was a splendid space to explore the winding alleys, and to enjoy the nearby restaurants within a short walking distance. Bus stops and timetables are such that one can explore the rest of the spots of Santorini from there.

The property is beautiful and well kept. The staff were great and very helpful. It's great value for money. There are restaurants within walking distance, Pyrgos being the best one. Breakfast was delicious and I was very surprised how good the hotels' restaurant food was. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The Ark Boutique Hotel in Pyrgos is the kind of place that quietly steals your heart. Our suite was flooded with sunlight from morning to evening, beautifully designed and impossibly clean. Every detail felt thoughtful: towels that smelled like vanilla cake, high-end bath products, and a bed so comfortable it felt like floating. At night, subtle lighting made the whole place glow with a kind of old-world, art deco magic. Breakfast was a daily highlight — fresh, flavorful, and with enough variety to make each morning feel new. Whether we were heading out by car or ATV, we were perfectly situated to explore every corner of the island, and we did — slowly, meaningfully, meeting locals, wandering off path, letting the island unfold naturally. And the people? The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring — you could feel they wanted you to love your time there as much as they do. If you’re not into the rushed cruise ship version of Santorini, this is your spot. It’s for travelers, not tourists.     Pyrgos is a lovely traditional Greek village with very friendly locals. It gets busy at certain times when the cruise tours visit. A steep walk up to the castle & church is worth it for the amazing views. The little supermarket sells most things you would need. We ate at Mythos Grill in the village, lovely food at a reasonable price and good sized portions

    There are a couple of real highlights.

    There are a couple of real highlights. First watch the sun go down from the top of the hill at Franco's. Second eat at Cava Alto. The most amazing and inventive mediterrean cuisine with a superb atmosphere. Try and avoid using taxis they are ruinouslt expensive.

    Near the apartment, there was a fantastic restaurant and a lovely bakery. Everything was absolutely wonderful. If I ever come back, it will definitely be here. The refreshing jacuzzi was amazing, and the hosts were incredible. I love this place!

    A beautiful and relaxed village on the hill tops with great views and plenty of fantastic places to hang out. Centrally located so you can get anywhere by public buses or by car. A place to be if you need to wind down and relax. For more party atmosphere and crowds head to Fira or Oia.

    Everything was perfect. We had an amazing stay and would love to come back. The hotel is in a superb location for getting around the island. It's very quiet but you have the convenience of Pyrgos town on your doorstep. I couldn't recommend this hotel more highly enough. The breakfast was great, the room was exceptional. Great views from wherever you are and every member of the team was lovely. A+++

    We stayed three days at Aroma Cavas and wished we had more. The apartment in Pyrgos is stylish, quiet, and perfectly located to explore Santorini without the crowds. Nikos is a fantastic host — helpful, responsive, and full of great local tips. Everything was spotless and well set up. Pyrgos has charm and calm, a great base for the island. We’ll be back, and for longer next time.
