Great buzz in the town. We visited Clonakilty black pudding factory. We enjoyed the tour. Pauline looked after us very well . She is friendly & informative. We enjoyed the tea & breakfast food. Lovely town with shops and pubs lining the street - very walkable from the guesthouse . People are friendly which made my stay even nicer. Clonakilty was recommended to us by a friend as she had visited with family on a holiday. Loved this little seaside town, which had plenty to offer in the way of things to see and do. We could easily have spent a few days here happily, relaxing or looking for a bit to get out and do. I feel that as travellers on an international trip, it gave us a great opportunity to experience what I saw as the real Ireland - a true little town which held such history and a passion for its people. I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.Guest review byFrancesIreland - 10.0

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. West Cork Escapes proved to be a great location close to Clonakilty Village, a beautiful house with plenty of room, very comfortable beds, modern and spacious house, and a beautiful view. The best accommodation in the area by a long stretch. Kathleen and Jim are exemplary hosts. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is coming here on holiday. Sarah-Jane left a brilliant welcome basket with plenty of food for breakfasts. It was super clean with a brilliant comfortable bed and a lovely outdoor area where we had breakfast each morning. It was about a 15 walk into Clonakilty. However this is exactly what we were looking for as it has a country feel, yet is on the edge of town. I would highly respect this hotel to all. The most important thing for me was having my dog withe. Together we enjoyed the beautiful beaches and lighthouses.
