Only 984 feet from the shores of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Michelangelo is 1640 feet from Arona town center. Everything was great! Roberto was a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. We got a flat while staying at the hotel and Roberto helped us fix it right away. Will definitely stay here the next time I am in the area.
The 4-star Antares is centrally located in the town of Arona, 492 feet from the shore of Lake Maggiore. It offers classic rooms with free Wi-Fi and LCD satellite TV. Great location, extremely close to the ferry, main road, but just far enough away from the train station. Most of the city is just older (dated), nothing against this particular hotel, it is just dated like the rest. Staff is friendly. You will feel like transported yourself back in time.
Featuring a panoramic restaurant overlooking Lake Maggiore, Hotel Ristorante San Carlo is set in Arona. The hotel has air-conditioned rooms, free WiFi throughout and a garden. Location/view + ambience + staff
Facing the beachfront in Arona, Hotel Florida features a garden. With free WiFi, this 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a shared lounge. The hotel has a sun terrace. Great location, view of the lake, right in the middle of Arona activities
Set right on the lakefront, Concorde is 5 minutes' walk from Arona center on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Guests have free parking. Fresh fruit selection superb , some amazing house produced pastries at breakfast. Easy to park. No need to use car to get into town centre which is lovely and just a very short walk away. Superb views of lake. Reception staff responsive, cheerful and polite. Sound proofing brilliant if doors remain closed to main road. Terrace and lounge areas very pleasant.
Hotel Giardino is located in the historic town of Arona, on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. Rooms offer air conditioning, TV and minibar, and many have balconies with lake views. Great location, easy walk to train and ferry terminal on the lake. The room was nice with a beautiful view of the lake and wonderful bedding. The bed was a bit too firm for my taste, but that really was my only issue. Breakfast was great!

Очень красивый, уютный город с узенькими и чистыми улочками. Отличная набережная для прогулок, много приятных ресторанчиков и кафе на любой кошелек и вкус.
Arona has a lot of shops and some restaurants. They are open mornings and late afternoons. Closed from 12:00-3:30. You have to go to Isola Bella if you have time. It's only a 10 minute train ride to Stresa and then a ferry to the island. You can tour the palace and shop. Don't forget to look for the white peacocks roaming the grounds.
Arona is a nice small town with a lovely promenade and is the starting point for boat trips around the lake and up as far as Ascona in Switzerland. Plenty of nice restaurants where you can sit outside with a view of the lake. The big expensive hotels are further up the lake in Stressa , Arona only has modest hotels. You need a car to explore all the small towns on the lake and to visit the nearby wine area Alba, Asti etc. Take the train to Milan to do the fashion centre and historical sites.
Arona is a quiet little town and even during peak travel seasons it is not overcrowded. However I recommend visiting when it's not the peak season. Restaurant service is faster and staff is much friendlier. There are a handful of very excellent restaurants in and around the Piazza del Popolo but they fill up quickly so it's recommended to make reservations or show up right when they open for dinner (typically between 19:00 and 20:00). Try taking a ferry on a lake tour to the Borromean islands (Isola Bella, Isola Superiore, etc.). Definitely worth the trip.
Nice, quiet town for a relaxing week-end. Not much to see in town, but good restaurants and cafes, and nice lakeside walk. Decent shopping along via del corso. Several very good places within easy driving distance, ranging from old castles (Angera is closest, but also in Valle d'Aosta), to museums (in Turin) and natural wonders (the Toce Waterfalls are nice to see).
Easy access from Milan by train and bus and lots of ferries take you to the tourist destinations in the area. Lovely waterside town with a beautiful esplanade and fountains. Great restaurants as well.

We stayed at White Lilac B & B just for one but it was amazing. We have never experienced such a nice and warm welcome. Donatella really tried to make the most of our (unfortunately short) stay. She provides all guests with detailed information about the area and is always there to give helpful recommendations for restaurants or sights. But also besides the great host the hotel is just wonderful. A beautiful house with very nice and clean rooms! We definitely recommend to stay at White Lilac B&B and want to return as soon as possible!

Roberto is a great host. He does everything to make you feel comfortable. He is very funny and fulfilled all our extra wishes (2 bed sheedes instead of one). The beach of Arona is literally 3 minutes away from the Hotel. The city center 6 minutes and the train station 5 minutes. The beds where comfortable, the room very spacious and the breakfast a little more than simple italien. There is sky tv in case of rainy days in Arona. Grazie mille Roberto!

Situated right on the main piazza in the beautiful lakeside town of Arona. The spacious apartments were created within what was originally an earlier monastery and the exposed brick interiors to the rooms and tasteful interior furnishings make this a most delightful place to be. Even better the apartment has use of a walled, split level garden with tables, chairs and hammock. Parking is provided. Highly recommended.

Centrally located, near train station as well. Staff members were friendly at front desk and breakfast room. Allowed us to check in right away even we arrived earlier than the hotel check in time. Breakfast was fine, eggs.. savory food and of course Italian sweet breakfast. The restaurant was good and super busy but fast service. Enjoyed my 2 meals there. Will be back lol

The hotel is located in a perfect position just minutes from the lakeside and the city centre. Arona is a small city though, therefore everything is quite near. The hotel cleanliness was very good. Staff friendly. Overall the hotel needs a major update and renovation to modern standards.
