First, I want to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the location of the hotel as it was in a beautiful rural setting, but not too far from the center of Galatina, which is a lovely year-round vibrant community. Plenty of hotel parking. I stayed in a chalet, which had plenty of room for me and if I had company/friends - room for two others - with a double bed and also a twin bed. The bathroom was large, toiletries were provided and slippers were provided along with daily clean towels. Every thing was spotless. There was also a refrigerator, beautiful big windows, if you were inclined to leave them open to get the night breeze or hear the birds chirping each morning! The bed was very comfortable. As it was still cool in the evenings and in the mornings, the heating system was a very pleasant amenity. There is a nice size pool with diving board and a tennis court, neither of which I made use of as it was still somewhat in the off-season and I needed to be out during the days at appointments. The restaurant/bar was a very nice size separate building from the rest of the premises with plenty of seating. The breakfast was lovely with a choice of yogurts, meat, cheese, fruit, juice, local pastry, local cookies, jams, bread and delicious coffee!!!! Twice in the evenings, I ordered room service for tea and biscuits. What really also sets this place apart from other places where you might stay such as larger hotels is the owner Enrico! He takes great pride in the premises and was very caring about and concerned that I was happy! As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and calm in this delightful setting. Though I speak only a little Italian, was a very pleasant amenity. There is a nice size pool with diving board and a tennis court, neither of which l made use of as it was still somewhat in the off-season and I needed to be out during the days at appointments.

The location of the property allows you to reach any place of interest (cities, beaches, etc.) in just 30 minutes. The staff are very kind and go out of their way to meet every need. Abundant breakfasts with the freshest baked goods. The pool area is well equipped and the pool itself has a maximum depth of just over one meter, ideal even for those who can't swim. Owners are so kind and treat you as a friend/family. A vacation to remember and a place to return to as soon as possible.

The property was a beautiful old building with so much character and charm. It has a gorgeous garden and pool which was amazing to enjoy in the summer heat. The rooms were beautiful too with very comfortable beds and cleaned every day by the very friendly housekeeper. The best part of our stay by far was the receptionist Alberto. He gave us recommendations for food, beaches, coffee, anything we needed and made sure we had the best stay in Italy. He remembered our coffee orders every morning and helped us with planning our daily adventures. Thank you for everything Alberto, our stay was incredible because of you!

    The bedroom was upstairs contrary to the description stated entire unit on ground floor. Couldn’t take our suitcases upstairs. Also, there was no landmark or city view except cross street neighbor. Description didn’t really match the accommodation. Cafes and restaurants were in close vicinity with fresh food.

    Nice little town in Puglia, straight in the center of the Italy's "heel" which enables you to get to any side of the coast (east, south, west) within 30 minutes by car. This is especially handy do get away from the wind, meaning you can always pick the beach located opposite from the where the wind is coming from to get better weather. There are plenty of nice small restaurants, a lot of them run by family, which gives it an extra touch.

    When coming to Galatina for the festival I treat myself to a stay at the Castello Castriota in the city centre at the Piazza Alighieri. I have been here for some years already and look forward to return next summer again. This hotel is a solid choice offering a nice environment with comfortable lounges, open spaces and a spectacular rooftop terrace. The rooms are comfortable and everything necessary (plenty of towels, fridge etc.) is at hand. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, I always love to have a chat.

    The location is fantastic – just steps away from the famous pasticceria with the best pasticciotti! Galatina is a lovely town with lots to offer. The apartment is very spacious and well-equipped. We were two couples and had plenty of room, with two bathrooms and a large kitchen with everything we needed. The house was also very clean, which I personally really appreciate. Alessandro was extremely kind and helpful, always available and responsive.

    It's very colourful, big and comfortable apartment in the lovely city of Galatina. There is balcony and it's near restaurants and sights. There is everything you might need for few days stay. Very good communication with owner. Who gave really useful information about parking, recommended nice restaurants. And was available for our questions and needs. I would happily stay here again.

    The apartment was perfect for relaxing and working with a well furnished roof top terrace. Galatina is a great little town and this apartment had good local facilities nearby (supermarket and launderette) while remaining within easy walking distance of the centre.
