Gera Lario is a small village a bit removed from some of the busier tourist areas of Lake Como. Although you could swim anywhere along the lakeside, there is no comfortable swimming beach for families. The village has only a few restaurants and no significant grocery shops. We loved the house, the garden, the location and especially the care with which Roberta and Alessio look after their house and surroundings. We would love to come back again to this amazing spot filled with ‘love’! The beach is at walking distance, the best pizza place of the lake is around the corner (Pizzeria Spluga). The hotel is very close to the lake and some rooms have a view of the lake. Our room was lovely with ac and a shutter to keep out the light. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection. The room has a communal balcony area with tables and chairs so this was great to relax on it also has a view of the lake. Free parking and a pizza restaurant on site. No city tax. It was great that the kitchen is very well quipedded, sleeping room stays cold during day and at night quiet, perfect to rest & sleep, as it's not directly at the main street of Lario. Whole flat was clean. There are a couple of bars and restaurants nearby in walking distance. The flat owner Andrea & Marina are very friendly and if necassery help any time. The room was clean and spacious. There was no need for finding a restaurant, because we ate the best pizzas of our trip in the hotel's own restaurant.
