The accommodation is a very beautiful house renovated with great care, featuring several apartments located slightly above the tourist center. The location is about 20 minutes on foot from the lake promenade, but situated very quietly. You cannot drive directly to the accommodation, which makes it all the more peaceful as there is no traffic noise. Several public parking spaces are at most 5 minutes away on foot. The accommodation has a beautiful courtyard where you can sit with friends in the evening and enjoy one of the good wines offered by the bistro. In the bistro itself, you can also enjoy small snacks and very good espresso during the day. The breakfast is put together with great care and many organic products and homemade cakes are offered. The Passer team around the owner Alessandro is extremely helpful and has many tips for excursions and restaurants. We had a very nice stay and will definitely come back!

Stunning place - we loved it and Varenna - preferred over Como and Bellagio. We just wished they put ferries on every 30 minutes not hourly for all destinations because it really impacts the time you have to explore having to plan around ferry You can get the bus to Como - takes 1h ( prepare for a while knuckle ride round the lanes and take a travel sickness tab ) but apart from that - just amazing

We absolutely loved our stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The accommodation is located right in front of the lake, and the room we stayed in had a breathtaking view. It is possible to walk to the restaurant area, which is about a 20-minute stroll and very enjoyable thanks to the beautiful scenery along the way. The room was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and decorated in a very cozy and welcoming style. The staff were incredible — they kindly picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and even drove us back to the town centre at the end of our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again when we return to the lake.

One day was definitely not enough!

One day was definitely not enough! I would have loved to spend more time in Menaggio and explore the surrounding areas as well. Staying overnight here was both comfortable and very affordable, making it a perfect base for discovering Lake Como. I hope to return and stay longer next time.

Mennagio is exceptionally beautiful but what I found...

Mennagio is exceptionally beautiful but what I found challenging was the transportation in getting to Menagio. The transportation from the city of Milan to Mennagio was very expensive due to many and large suitcases. Taking a taxi or uber was costly $350-$650. To return to the city we took a 3 hour Ferry. Wonderful experience. We experienced Lake Como in a boat and non expensive. The train is another form of transportation but only if you carry light luggage. It is not tailored for tourists with heavy and many luggage.

Menaggio is the most beutiful place on the Lake Come for me. There are no many turists, but enough to be interesting place. Menaggio has meny restorans and cafe bars, lakeside promenade, lots of greenery, beautiful trees and flowers, kind people, wen you arrive you will engoy from the begining.

Menaggio and the lake are beautiful but it’s all spoiled by the number of people around. Queuing for boat tickets daily (can only get 1 day or 6 day tickets) and for the reduced number of boats is a nightmare. In Como we queued 1hour and 30 minutes for our tickets and 40 mins for a boat to take us up the late. There was no shade in 30 degree heat. The middle lake is as busy. We have been many times but this is our last trip because of the chaos. Sadly.

Beautifully appointed, clean and centrally sited apartment close to all amenities. Menaggio is a relaxed and charming place away from the busier hubs in Lake Como and this apartment is highly recommended as a base. We stayed 6 nights and used the ferry to visit many sights around the Lake. Alberto the apartment host was delightful and always available for any problems ( of which there were none) and pointed us to good restaurants and local places of interest.

The hotel is on the hill, with our room overlooking the hotel's beautiful garden which is full of flowers overlooking the lake. Stunning view really The location is also perfect, it is in Menaggio, a beautiful town on lake Como, which is a calm, laid back, and classly place (unlike other areas which are busy and noisy) where you can dine or have a drink by the lake.

A fantastic apartment with a lovely view over the town and lake Como. It was also very well equipped if you did want to stay home, but with so many great restaurants it was the perfect location to wander into the town. The hosts Cristina and Davide gave us all the recommendations we needed for our short stay and helped with any questions about the apartment.

We loved this little hotel. Everything was so beautiful, effortless and calm. The bistro was excellent, everything from breakfast, coffee, aperativo to dinner was great. The family welcomes you as one of their own. Short distance from the trails, paddle, tennis, golf and Lake Como of course. We would return for sure.
