We spent three wonderful nights in this sleek, modern hotel located in the amazing, ancient town of Acerenza. The bed was super comfortable, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was in a nice little bar next door, run by a very sweet lady, and parking was right next door to it. Everything was perfect. With the few questions we had, the host Daniele was always available and quick to respond, and very, very kind. We wish we could have stayed longer, and we will definitely return.

Acerenza is quite the hilltop city where even the free parking lot has a tremendous panoramic view. Il Rifugio is tucked into a small street a few meters away and we were met by Titina, the mother of our host. Titina is a force of nature, full of love and emotion and pride in her home and her family. Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without our visit to Il Rifugio and Titina’s welcome.
