The little neighborhood was so quaint and pretty. Nice restaurants close by and bars for morning coffee. We found parking on the street which was free, which was a total bonus. The apartment was very spacious and plenty of room to spread out. Location is excellent- this trip to Italy did not include a trip into Rome, but we wanted to spend the night close to Fiumocino after our 8 hour flight. Quick and easy trip from the airport and then a quick exit out of the metropolitan area to get to our next location. The owner/manager was very nice and helpful with recommendations.

The property is clean, comfortable, and spacious. The host lives in another building on the same property, so he was able to meet us conveniently, although we were 3 hours later than expected due to traffic. He was friendly and professional. There is a pizza place called Pizza Taxi just a block away with very affordable and tasty food.

We stayed in the beautiful separate apartment with a kitchen. Great amenities. Hosts were lovely, picked us up from the Metro station and they offered shuttle service to the airport, Lanfranco described the area and was very informative. Close to the ruins. We highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The host responded promptly, and the location was cosy and very welcoming. Train stations, restaurants, and supermarkets (basically everything you need) were within walking distance. The airport wasn’t too far either. The train conveniently connects you to both the beach and the city, with ticket machines available for all durations. For a short stay, this place was a good choice—affordable and well-located.

    Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

    Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you...

    Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

    amazing to visit Ostia Antica.

    amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

    On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

    Well, IF like me you want be surprised with what you spect discover at almost 3.000 years place, OSTIA ANTICA really will amazing you! Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

    I was visiting to watch the Italy V Wales Six Nations game in Rome. I honestly could not believe what an archaeological historic area Ostia Antica is. So glad i found the time to visit the Roman ruins.

    This was the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed at. Located in an incredible historic building right near the gates to Ostia Antico, the room was impeccably clean and the very recent renovation was exceptionally done - blending the incredible historical architecture, stone work and wood beamed ceiling with a modern, clean aesthetic. The host was incredibly gracious and helpful with all aspects of our stay.

    This is a modern and well-equipped apartment with a spatious terrace. We enjoyed the Ostia Antica archaeological site a lot. It is very close by. We also appreciated having a supermarket in the block, on the main street. The host was very helpful, he even arranged a reasonably priced airport transfer for us.
