Remarkable historical palazzo, member of Relais & Châteaux. The service here is outstanding — staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Everything is perfectly taken care of, and breakfast is just amazing. Orta is a lovely place to explore while discovering the lake region.

Fantastic family run hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean, plenty of storage space, free parking, good shower. Family / quadruple room was the best we have ever seen - two fully separate spacious rooms with a shared bathroom. Very nice simple breakfast with excellent coffee, homemade cake, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit. Small supplement if you want eggs, cheese & ham etc. We didn't see anyone doing that as there was already plenty of choice. Excellent location very close to Lake Orta. Lots of options to eat nearby (try Dui Matt), and the hotel restaurant is excellent, with a beautiful view over the lake. Great beaches and crystal clear water. Regular ferries from nearby Pella.

Great hotel in the Lago d Orta. Every year we come here to have a vacation

We had an issue with the physical key in the lock for our room, and the staff went above and beyond to help and make it right. I don’t consider this event a negative. It’s a charming older building (that is still updated) with these small hiccups. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely nice. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I was disappointed I slept through the first days visit as I was recovering from jet lag.

The staff was just the best, they even allowed us to check in after hours and get our last breakfast a bit earlier in order to make it to the airport on time. The beds were very comfy, the hotel has everything you need, the rooms have spacious balconies with a good view of the mountains.

Outstanding views of Lake Orta. Excellent dinner with a view. Basic but OK breakfast. We were given late checkout so we were able to take a shower early afternoon before driving to the airport to an evening flight (it was the early phases of the heatwave). Excellent location to travel around lake Orta, Valsesia, also Lago Maggiore. Take note, you should have a car to reach the hotel and getting in and out involves driving a narrow mountain road. No air-conditioning, but ceiling fan was quite enough and it was rather pleasent in the room despite the heat, given the height (except in mid morning when direct sun enters the room).
