We loved everything! Beautiful grounds! Private and safe. Most beautiful beaches you can reach by car and then end the day by the pool. Most time it felt like we had the place to ourselves even though other guests where there. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay there again. Breakfast spread was also delicious!

The property is absolutely gorgeous; it sits high above the town of Scopello and the views are beautiful. The owners take great pride in keeping the grounds immaculate. The infinity pool is the centerpiece of Antica Cascina Del Golfo! They are currently finishing a beautiful glass encased sitting and breakfast area next to the pool, so you can enjoy drinks and breakfast while enjoying the breathtaking views. Jovanna and her husband are fantastic hosts and wonderful cooks. Jovanna always took time to explain the sights around the local area. The property is very close to great hiking in the Zingaro Nature Preserve.

The location is perfect. - right in the middle of a small but beautiful village. Stunning views through the magnificent gardens and pool to the sea. An easy 1 kn walk to the start of the Zingara Reserve. Rooms well equipped, including in room kettle, iron. They are clean and bed medium firm and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing — so many options including sweet savory, traditional home made. Restaurant is also very good , and is beautifully located overlooking the ocean.

I stayed here with my family and groomsmen for my wedding. The staff could not have been nicer and more hard-working. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the view out to the ocean was phenomenal. Truly breathtaking views from the rooms with balconies in sea views. The breakfast was fantastic. The pool was a perfect temperature and nice escape from the summer heat. After wedding the staff gave us a gift bag with a beautiful Sicilian ceramic. This is not something you would get in the states. I can’t emphasize enough how kind the staff was. If you were having a wedding in the area, this is a fantastic choice for hosting a bridal party and guests. The kind woman at the front desk went above and beyond to schedule and arrange transportation to and from the airport and neighboring towns for all of our guests. We love this hotel and will definitely be coming back.

The staff was incredibly amazing. Thanks Nicolo and Caterina you are amazing! The facilities were better than I expected after reading other reviews and they were in good shape and very clean and maintained room. Breakfast was also super good. In addition, there is an amazing Restaurant (Baida) 3km away up the hill. Prices at the Hotel bar were also good !

    Hotel Antica Casinca Del Golfo was the highlight of the trip. It was close to some restaurants with spectacular cliff and seaside views. There is also a pharmacy and market nearby. The ride to Palermo airport only took 45 minutes.

    We didn't visit the beach.

    We didn't visit the beach. We were resting up around our pool. We drove past it and it looked very pretty. However.... We were midweek in May (Good weather) and there were cars everywhere. Car parks charge and for a small bay/cove even this time of year too many people. I would guess peak season it would be ridiculously busy.

    Small village close to the sea. Stunning scenery. A couple of supermarkets along the main road, which themselves have good restaurants. The main square of Scopello is enclosed, so there are no cars. Plenty of good restaurants, and a very pleasant and sociable atmosphere. Car parking is €4, or there is some free parking at the far end of the village, but it's not very easy to get to. There really isn't anything to do in Scopello apart from eat. The Tonnara (old tuna factory) on the coast, just a little way from the village, looked interesting. However, there is a very high entry charge (it's privately owned), and it can be closed for days at a time with no warning. In the end, we didn't go - there are plenty of photographs to look at ...

    A nice place with several good beaches in the area, a Pane Cunzatu bakery, a bar with orange juce, and a few restaurants (we ate delicious pasta con vongole in the Nettuno). Unfortunately not accessible with public transport, so you need to book a shuttle from the airport. There is a bus connection between Alcamo and Palermo, but make sure to buy tickets in advance, and don't expect any taxis waiting for you in the Alcamo - better book one beforehand.

    Scopello is a small village so more suitable for a quiet stay. There are no shops to speak of just a handful of gifts shops and one supermarket with pharmacy. We ate in the Square, not sure of the name of the restaurant but it had a very communal feel which was really lovely, so relaxing. I would recomment hiring a car as it is quite a rural area and things a bit spread out, not by much but maybe a 5 to 10 minute drive to the supermarket etc

    Rocky Seaside with magnificent views. Steep descent to water. Not suitable for elderly people as paths to seaside dirt tracks Most seaside venues charge fee as privately owned . 10 -15 Euro. National park nearby with walks to beaches that are free with parking at a distance.

    The hotel was very nice in all. Very nice and well thought hotel in an amazing location very close to the Tonara di Scopello. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful - even the owner himself! All of them were there to make your holidays as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was also very nice with local delicacies! Bonus was the very nice pool and surroundings. Recommended!

    Great location, great host, clean, quiet and close to absolute everything. Highly recommend. Vincenzo was a great host, and eaven helped us at the beginning of our arrival in Sicily when our car rental (a different company) ended up being a scam, he came with his son to pick us up eaven tho it was quiet late. Later we rented a Fiat Panda from him, highly recommend the car as well :)

    We had an amazing week in Scopello. The house "Where the sun rises" was the perfect accommodation for our family in terms of strategic location, security and equipments. We were very close to the sea (2min by car) and the panoramic view is breathtaking, especially the sunrise!! We highly recommend it! Thanks a lot to Maria Giancarlo for their hospitality and kindness.

    The dream accommodation in Sicily for us - a tiny stand alone cottage in the country with sea and mountain views but just a few minutes walk to the most charming town possible. It is stated clearly that there is no wifi so that may be an issue for some people but my partner had data and I enjoyed 3 days of digital detox in a stunning surrounds :)
