I have nothing negative to say. The owner and her son were the kindest most helpful people you could ever wish to meet. They went out of their way to look after us and we definitely want to go back. Beautiful location, lovely building and awesome people. I can’t rate them highly enough. You could see Mount Etna from the bedroom balcony, the buses were reliable, the local pizza shop was fabulous and not expensive. With only 15 rooms, the hotel felt intimate, romantic and very exclusive. The grounds were beautifully kept, the pool was fabulous and our room was both stylish and very classy. The shower was very good and we had a balcony were we could sit in the evening with a room service meal which was delicious. Unfortunately, I ran into some major travel issues and had to fly into Palermo instead of Catania and my host, Giuseppe, actually drove all the way to Palermo to pick me up and bring me to Viagrande. He is an incredibly kind and generous host with a love of art and the culture of his island!
