Perfect location to visit Etna, as it's in the middle between the south side and the north side of the mountain. Small town but has all necessary shops, excellent restaurants and a beach (we didn't visit the beach as we were there for Mount Etna). We were there off season so it was a bit cold at night.
We were there off season so it was a bit cold at night. The town doesn’t offer much variety in dining, mostly pasta & pizza. We gave up and bought food at the supermarket and ate in our room. Typical small Sicilian town supermarkets. Best to stop at a larger market in the city. Zafferana Etnea is a small village at the foot of the Etna volcano with easy access to the roads leading to the northern and southern parts of the volcano. A suitable place for ATV enthusiasts as well as for mountain climbing. Unique edible mushrooms grow in the area, which you can eat in the many pizzerias in the town. At the beginning of October, a festival is held in the center of this picturesque town, where you can try local foods, such as cheeses, meat products, sweets, honey, olives prepared in different ways, roasted chestnuts, fruits and many others. .. There is also music, an amusement park, street food and many artisans from whom everyone can buy interesting things as a souvenir of this wonderful place.Guest review byK PROYNOVBulgaria

We had a beautiful spot outside the hotel with a patio and a view over Zafferana. At first, we struggled a bit with the four-star atmosphere and the formal dining setup. But by the end of the week, we left as friends, especially with Simona 🤎 at the reception and Salvo 👋🙌 and his older friend 👨💼in the restaurant. We love these people.
