The city is clean, tidy and well laid out. There is a lot to see and places to visit. It was easy to get around and everyone we came in contact with was helpful and kind. The Peace Park and the Museum are a must to visit. The whole area has a great sense of calmness. Miyajuma Island is well worth a visit. I honestly feel everyone should visit Hiroshima. First off, the bomb being dropped there was one of the defining events of the 20th cenrtury and the peace museum is a somber reminder to us all to never forget how horibl war is. Secondly, it's incredible to see the city that has grown up in the 80 years since. It is a beautiful city of rivers and bridges and is very walkable with yummy fod everywhere. Finally, the island of Miyajima is an easy ferry hop from downtown with its beautiful shrine and iconic torii (and tame deer).Guest review byDarylCanada - 10.0

A lovely city with plenty of art, history, and delicious food. Oysters, lemons, okonomiyaki, etc. Miyajima Island was a delight and Hiroshima Castle was fascinating to see. On a more somber note, visiting the Atomic Bomb Memorial and the Peace Museum might be a little emotionally overwhelming for some people, but it was a valuable experience. Make sure to have plenty of time to go through the park and the museum. The local restaurants and izakayas were welcoming and chatting with locals was a lot of fun. I would have liked to visit more cafes in Hiroshima, but didn't have enough time. Overall, it was a short but good trip and I'd like to visit the city again sometime.Guest review byCarleyJapan - 10.0

Our purpose was to come to see the Mazda Museum of course Hiroshima bombsite peace Park and of course near Miyajima Island. Next time we come we’ll stay a lot longer. If you’ve never been to Japan or Hiroshima or any of the big cities I would recommend staying right next to the station. Check-in was easy after, and the stay itself was as expected of a capsule hotel. But very organized. Everyone was very quiet, also. The bathroom was not crowded, and you had a lot of privacy. The reception was lovely and they gave a lot of good tips on our way out. They seemed to love foreign tourists and showed they could speak some sentences in various languages.
