Food was excellent, sophisticated while using simple and fresh local ingredients, and beautifully presented! The baths were very pleasant with an amazing view on their garden (very relaxing). Staff was incredibly helpful and polite (they even helped us figure out the trains to Kyoto and called us a cab). It's located very close to the highway bus stop coming from Tokyo (15min walk), as well as near the temples. We also really enjoyed the kimono experience, Overall, it was a very special moment and the highlight of our trip.

Shimobe Hotel displayed exceptionally friendly and accommodating service for English speakers. The rooms are wonderful and clean and the multiple hot springs are beautiful to experience. The room is super clean and comfy. The owners are so nice and the food is so decent, they even serve special dish. Great location to view Mt. Fuji. For anime fans, here is where Yuru Camp take place, there are full of anime elements inside the hotel, I'm really enjoyed.

This is a very dated hotel in the middle of nowhere (close to Mt. Fuji, but nothing else nearby). We stayed in a huge room with 2 bedrooms so it was spacious, but very dated. Thereʻs a golf course nearby so it would be great for a group of golfers. We had the half-board option and the food was good, but not spectacular.

Motosu Phenix Hotel is located in Fujikawaguchiko. Guests can enjoy the mountain views from the property. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property.

Nicest hotel you’ll find in the area. Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating! I was given a ride to the nearby train station by one of the staff when they heard I was taking the bus. Delicious breakfast was provided as well. Onsen was great too! Can’t say enough good things about my stay!

Everything was amazing!! We checked-in early evening and were welcomed with cold tea and a delicious homemade dessert. The hosts were both very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were perfect as we had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. They also recommended a delicious restaurant where they dropped us off and picked us up later. They offered breakfast which was the best with a good ambiance music. This is definitely the best place we have stayed in Japan! Thank you for everything!

The area is secluded (quiet) but can be easily reached via car or bus if commuting. The house is newly renovated and it’s a traditional japanese home. The property is complete with necessities and there is a nearby convenience store in case you forgot any. Our hosts are the best, they are very kind and sweet. We had a great dinner with them and had a good laugh. It was the best stay we ever had!
