It was clean and quite close to station but bus stop and metro station was less than 5 mins by walk. Well equipped so laundry machine could save space in my baggage. On rainy days they offered umbrella for free.

The room was clean and spacious. I took a taxi to Sapporo station and Susukino, but the location was just right as it wasn't too far away and quiet at night :) There were pots, kettle, pans, simple kitten supplies, knives and cutlery. So you can cook in the room if you want. The staff was very nice. Bath and toilets are separate, and there were 2 toilets. haha It's really good deal!!

Most interesting places like Furano, Daisetsuzan and noboribetsu are not close to Sapporo even with self-drive trips. So don’t base your self in Sapporo as it is far from its own airport anyway. Stay in Sapporo if you want to explore its surrounding areas.

Less touristy than other places in Japan, but a good base for visiting places like Furano, Hakodate, Noboribetsu. We went there during the summer festival which was great, and the shopping centre at the main station is very good.

Next time I’d spent 4 days and rent a car to explore the o it skirts of the city. Getting around the city is super easy by walking or local transportation. I’d also eat more ice cream there…such different flavors compared to everywhere else. Loved being at the river where we dipped our feet in to cool down from the summer heat.

    This city is 'just right.'

This city is 'just right.' We loved Tokyo, but it was a little too big. Sapporo was just about the right size to provide everything we needed, but not make us feel like we were being 'swallowed up' by it's size. Odori park was beautiful, the food options were endless, there were plenty of places to explore, and as an added bonus, the Soren festival was taking place, which added to the excitement of the city. Suskino had the night life we enjoyed without being a little 'too much' like Shinjuku in Tokyo. (I'm not down on Tokyo, we loved that, but there was something about Sapporo that we just loved. We are already talking about going back for the Winter Festival sometime in the future.

Nice city. It is not too crowded. Though I met many Chinese and Korean tourists. I hardly saw any Indian or for that matter any other tourists. Nakajima Koen and Odori park are great to explore. I spent hours in the park. Cloak tower nothing great but famous meeting place. Otaru town and boat ride is great, very touristy and great food. Will visit these places again in Winter.

The Sapporo Grand is in a fantastic location for ease of access to/ from airports, trains, subway, bus, shopping centres, tourist attractions and and food outlets. The hotel exudes elegance and stately ambiance - a grand lady whose staff are unfailingly helpful and courteous, nothing is too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay there as we felt very welcome. There is a range of dining, coffee places, lounges and bars within the hotel complex to suit almost any tastes and their buffet breakfasts and lunches are superb

During my summer vacation visit to a Sapporo hotel, the bathroom was truly impressive, and the room was spacious. They even provided single-use bath salts, which was a lovely touch. It was close to Susukino, and having a 7-Eleven convenience store on the first floor was incredibly convenient. The Lawson convenience store across the street was also easy to access. With amenities like a coin laundry and a microwave available, I had a very comfortable stay."

The staff were very attentive and professional. Helped us out with organising breakfast when we had to leave ridiculously early and they assisted with train / subway times etc. It’s a large hotel and is clean and professional. The room wasn’t huge but it was comfortable. Also conveniently located next to the subway which can get you anywhere in Sapporo. Nice park next door to.

Such a great hotel in such a good location! Easy walking distance from Sapporo Station, and very close to Nakajima Park and Odori Park. Great views from the higher levels too. There was a cute fireplace in the lobby and they offered free drinks (non alcoholic) every night from a certain time period. Very easy check in and out process. Was always greeted with a smile.
