The location was great. It is was walking distance from the train station. We have a family of 5 and this traditional Japanese home fit us very comfortably. The host is fantastic. He is so nice and even picked us up from the train station because it was raining. He is also a great cook. There was so much food I thought it was way too much for our family. Well, the food was good and there was nothing left when we got done. We only stayed for one night and my family was pleading with me to stay another night. We had to go due to commitments but we will stay here again if we get the opportunity.

Everything! The atmosphere was magical — peaceful, authentic, and deeply connected to the history of Nara. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The traditional dinner and breakfast were exquisite, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The location is perfect — walking distance to Nara Park and temples, yet quiet and serene.
