Perfect location for peace and quiet. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Great coffee. Hospitality world class.

Location was perfect for us, it’s in walkable distance to unakuruwa beach which is swimming friendly. Close to the silent beach. Garden was very beautiful with natural trees. Room was spacious and very clean. Owners themselves welcomed us with great hospitality. Loved the Breakfast it was very good.

Luxurious, relaxing boutique stay with the most incredible service we’ve ever experienced. The owner Alexander and his team went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of the entire time - on arrival, we were shown around the hotel to have a pick of our favorite room out of the ones available whilst sipping on their welcome cocktails. The rooms were beautiful, with every item well thought out. We spent our days going for runs along the beautiful beach, paddle boarding, reading by the pool and enjoying the amazing food in the hotel restaurant (great menu that changed daily!!). We had initially intended to eat out nearby and explore surrounding towns but the restaurant and vibes at the hotel were just sooooo good that we pretty much spent most of the three days on sight 😊 Will 100% be coming back!!

Such a relaxed stay. It is a very small hotel, the rooms are very big and have a great design. Location is superb, directly on Mawella Beach which is glorious and so quiet. The staff were wonderful, especially Preshard who literally could not do enough for us... It you like chilled, relax, quiet....this is perfect...and good value too.

I absolutely loved my stay at Monara. The property is beautiful and so peaceful. The location is perfect as it close to Tangalle and just a quick tuk-tuk ride to Hiriketiya Beach. My room was gorgeous, so comfortable and open, and I loved having a balcony to sit out on in the mornings. The food was a highlight! The chef in the property is so talented and prepared authentic Sri Lankan recipes along with western dishes. I had the best egg hoppers for breakfast and the curry night was unforgettable. There are so many calm spots to do yoga or just relax by the pool, and the beach nearby is usually empty which is a treat. The team made everything so easy. Upul was amazing, the staff were so kind. It truly was a special and relaxing experience staying at Monara.

The property was great and the location in and of itself was amazing, it showed off Tangalle's coast and culture, The Food was Tasty and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff complete the experience by providing friendly and efficient service.

Our stay at the last house was sheer perfection!

Wow! That was clearly best hotel on my journey! Location is perfet, on the beach where is not much hotels, so, most of the time it was quite and calm. Hotel itself is owned by british influenced by japan anddesigned by Sri Lankan architect and its simply amazing! Combining traditional art and modern minimalism. Spacious rooms with the balcony or garden entrance. Hotel is managed by local lovely familly and they are super nice and helpful. There is restaurant in hotel, i was there totally alone for couple of days enjoying their hospitality and fantastic food. Finally good cofee as well! I will definitelly come back again, it was real treat! Room and whole facility was clean and maintained on daily basis. Beautiful garden with access to the beach where was two local seafood restaurants. At the end i stayed for one more day and later regreted that it was nor for even more :)
