United StatesWe stayed at Amanta Beach Resort for two nights and wished we would have stayed for a week! The property is beautiful and private but close enough to Nilaveli & Trinco that you could take a Tuk Tuk if you needed to. The rooms were spotless, beautiful, and everything worked perfectly (including the air con). As previous reviewers have said, the beach is your own little private slice of paradise. We were there a few weeks before the heavy season, so the seas were a bit rough, but we spent many hours lounging in the chairs on the sand!
The food was amazing too! We had dinner one night and it was one of the best meals that we've had on our year abroad. The owner/chef comes out and explains everything and tells you where he got the ingredients from (mostly his on-site garden).
Shyakthi and his staff make this place what it is! They all go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying yourself and that you're comfortable. They put a lot of time and energy into the entire experience and it shows. There is a reason this hotel is rated 9+ on Booking and you should definitely come see for yourself!
