It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Ruins is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff is very nice. The food, the rooms are amazing. I invite all local and foreign people to come here and have fun. Located outside the city, it is a quiet and pleasant place to stay. In all respects, Ruins is a beautiful hotel located in Polonnaruwa. The site seeing of historical places were the best.
The site seeing of historical places were the best. Most of the time we ate at the hotel and visited some locals and shared a meal with them. Lot of ancient locations and relics.
Lot of ancient locations and relics. Can gain much information about historical Polonnaruwa era of Sri Lanka. Spread is in close vicinity and can cover all areas even without a travel guide. My favourite places were Parakrama Samudraya, museum, King Parakramabahu's castle and office, Gal Viharaya, Thiwanka Pilima geya, Vatadage, Hetadage and Sathmahal Prasadaya. There are places to eat in Polonnaruwa new town (Very close by). We dined at NS Tomatoes where the service was good.Guest review byAnonymous

Rooms are large, spotlessly clean and lovely views over the rice fields. Breakfast is lovely & plentiful too.
