Sliema is a lovely place for a walk, a run or a swim. There are several coffee shops and restaurants. The city could be improved a lot but it is not in the local mentality. There are some lovely Sicilian coffee shops around and with as little as 8 euros you can buy 11 delicious "pastizzi" and a meat pie.... enough to feed 5-6 people. Some of the better experiences in terms of restaurants were Felice at the Gzira sea-front, Oka at Balluta Bay (St. Julians) and Barracuda, just meters away from the church. Many lovely bars and particularly noteworthy was Reno's in Howard Street, Sliema where you can drink to your hearts content without going broke.Guest review byPierre - 10.0

Sliema was a great location as close to ferry, buses etc so easy to travel to different parts of the island. Sliema itself was a lovely area with nice restaurants, bars and variety of shops. Favourite restaurants were Lou's, Felice Brasserie and Tiffany's Bistro. The apartment was perfect for our group of 6 people. Ground floor , easy access, very safe. Everything was brand new & clean. Would highly recommend this place . The kettle had euro plug so we had to use an adapter. The welcoming wine & water bottles was a lovely touch.Guest review byAnonymous

The location was perfect, there were several restaurants and shops near by. We used Bolt to get anywhere on the island and it was very cheap! The ferry was a 5 minute walk from the hotel and was €2 to reach Valletta which only took 7 minutes. The room was perfect, bathroom and shower were one of the nicest i've seen in a hotel. Gordon, the host, is probably the best host I have ever met. He did everything he could to make our stay amazing and unforgettable. The private hot tub on the rooftop is unique and modern and we really enjoyed it. I have stayed in many places in this area, including 5 star hotels, and it is by far the best accomodation in Sliema.
