The drive to Katikati was terribly slow because of the road...
The drive to Katikati was terribly slow because of the road works. But we were greeted by the restaurant staff whom made us feel calmer & welcome. The public bar did not disappoint either. Some very friendly fellas chatted to us immediately & recommended the restaurant for a meal. We loved all the paintings & photos all around the place. Such interesting history available for us to learn. We will definetly be back to stay a bit longer & ask for out book to be signed...The Great NZ Pub Crawl. My grandchildren loved the pools and thoroughly enjoyed the swimming holes in the creek as they found it really refreshing. Really enjoyed our motel room as previous camping trips elsewhere I've had to wake up at least 3 times in the middle of the night to take children to the toilets. We only stayed one night visiting family but we liked what we saw. We have been to Katikati before and there is much to see and do. Great variety of shops - op shops, pottery, art gallery and of course the cycle way. Clean and tidy town.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
