The cycle track is great, which goes along the beachfront, and is part of the Great Tasman Taste Trail. The shops are ok, lots of cafes and places to eat. Would especially recommend Simply Indian. The Sunday market is awesome. It was central to where we stayed at the River Terrace Cottage as we could do some shopping at the supermarkets, variety of restaurants and retaiil shops for beautiful quality clothes. Do keep a eye out for honesty boxes along the roads where farmers put out their produces which you can buy and then just put the money in a box. The garden is very nice, well maintained and spacious to provide privacy to all guests. There are five units equipped with private facilities, electric kettle, but there is no fridge or stove in the room. Eating in rooms are prohibited. We stayed in a private room with en-suite which is more like a cabin really. Excellent value for money and has all the facilities you need for a night before/after the Abel Tasman, which is what we used it for. One of three immaculate cabins with car parking and a deck overlooking green hills. Chalets are mid way between Motueka and the Abel Tasman so convenient for both although you need a car.
