The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were traveling by bike, so were a little high maintenance in terms of storage. They handled everything without a fuss even though they were very busy. The Batman even supplied us with a pile of napkins so we could get the road dust off the bikes. The room was clean, comfortable and funky. When we entered the room there was a handwritten welcome note and plate of pasteis de nata. Oh, and they have an excellent and varied breakfast bar.

Blending traditional and modern design, the 4-star Santiago Hotel is located on a hilltop overlooking the castle of Santiago do Cacém.

Great hotel, I ended my Rota Vicentina hike there, many start there. Restaurant is very good, a bit pricey but worth it. I had a early bus out of town (5:30). They fixed me a box breakfast! Many English TV channels. The bathroom has room to spread our toiletries.

Was a good size cottage, several bedrooms, quiet area, nicely furnished, lots of room. Good breakfast delivered by the owner, who was very nice and helpful. Enjoyed fresh oranges from tree out back. The Italian resturant/ pizza place was absolutely delicious and delightful. The care a block up the street was good as well, nice family place.
