I must admit, I'm torn between sharing the secret of Setúbal's beauty and wanting to keep this gem all to myself. The stunning beaches, delectable food, breathtaking views, and warm-hearted locals are like treasures I'd like to hoard. However, if you decide to visit Setúbal, just savor the experience as I do every time I'm there, and you'll understand why I'm so reluctant to let go of this hidden paradise.

    Check was really easy.

Check was really easy. Entrance hall is nice but room lacked some soul- no pictures or colour etc. Shower was tired but it was clean. Slightly out of town, and up a hill, we were fine as fit bit disabilities might struggle. It did the job as it was a 1 night stop off.

Anyone driving to Setubal needs to know that they have recently introduced a zonal parking system and there is little long stay parking available. Apart from this we found Setubal to be a beautiful City with loads of lovely parks, riverside promenades, narrow streets with plenty of small squares and a surprising amount of street entertainment, including fire-eaters. On top of this the nearby Beaches are outstanding

The hotel was far enough away to be quiet and had a rural feel. Access to the main road very easy for travelling.. Setúbal has a nice seaside atmosphere with a good variety of places to eat. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Close to Lisbon, so a nice short side stay in a quieter town. We arrived by Uber at a cost of $40 euro. Very walkable to the harbour. Easy to take the catamaran ferry to the island beach as there are staff at the booth to purchase tickets ($8.80 euro includes free return). We even saw dolphins on our way back to Setubal from the island! The city has a nice selection of seafood restaurants along the harbour. We felt safe walking to and from our hotel and around town. If you love cats, there were several on the streets at dusk while we were there. They are fed by locals so are not a bother. The train to Lisbon is in the heart of the city and we had help buying tickets from the machine which was helpful as the staffed booth was closed the day we travelled back to Lisbon. The town appears to be and 'up and coming' destination place so check it out before it gets too busy!

I didn't see much as it was just an overnight stay.

I didn't see much as it was just an overnight stay. I had expected a seaside town, but it was just like a city with lots of high rise residental blocks and lots of rush hour traffic and all the types of shops and business premises you would expect in a not very upmarket city outskirts. The hotels gardens were peaceful but at odds with its surroundings.

Rita saved us from disaster! We had booked another hotel which SAID they took dogs, until we arrived. They would not refund! Had to find accoms nearby. What a pleasant surprise! The Falcoaria's rooms are like mountain cabins, completely furnished for self-catering. Rita has thought of everything, and we were very comfortable, as was our little dog. Fascinating to tour the bird sanctuary as well. Owls! Pigeons! Hawks! Falcons! So beautiful. Had we known about this place, we would have stayed longer and chosen it first.

The TV do not work , also the internet was not working it’s a small hotel in the middle of no were but as a hotel guest if you don’t book in avance a table to eat at the only restaurant they have , they are not able to accommodate you so we wen to bed after a all day traveling with out having dinner, plus they cut the water from 21hrs to next morning at 6am so we don’t have the chance to shower before going to be after a long day of traveling from our home country to Portugal.

The hotel is very clean with very helpfull, professional and friendly staff. The decoration of the common spaces is very pleasing and gives the hotel a very posh look and feel. The matreces are very comfortable and the pilows are plentifull and allow you to find a comfortble solution regarless of your preferences. The bathroom was modern, clean and practical. This is certainly the best property I stayed in Setúbal. I will (if available) stay here again. Recommended.

Great location. Slightly far from the centre what makes it nice and quiet. One of the best (hidden gem) fish and seafood restaurants (Pinga-Amor) is 120m from the hotel. comfortable room. Option of very early breakfast (07.30( what was very convenient as we had to travel to Algarve on that morning) Not far from the beautiful beaches of Portinho da Arrabida

Everything you could think of the property had. If you wanted to bbq, go to the beach (had the towels), games to play, trash bags (we found a lot of places in Portugal do not provided). Out of all the places we stay in Portugal which was 6, this by far was the best. It felt like a home away from home. When we come back we will definitely stay.

The youngsters running this place are incredibly kind and professional! The facility is spotless (I could live there). It was such a treat to myself to stop here for a few days. A great, clean and thoughtful hotel created in an historic building. Definitely one of my most comfortable stays on my eight week tour of PT. Well done!

My family enjoyed this property and could not be happier with our stay. Liseta made everything easy and provided ideas for things to do and see around the area. The apartment is in a great location and was a perfect start to our Portugal vacation. We would definitely stay at Cafofos da Zeta again.
