Very friendly staff, all English speakers. The Wi-Fi signal was very good, also no problems with water and electricity. The house cat and dog are lovely. Max and Elena are very nice hosts, providing us all necessary information for our stay. The breakfast is very good and they also make very nice cocktails.

We LOVED our stay here! It was amazing! The staff is wonderful - the waiters, the bartenders, the cooking staff, the receptionists, the chambermaids, the security… everyone so nice, welcoming and friendly. The lovely hotel manager Miryam was always there, always so caring and a great professional. The owner Ahmed - so hospitable and always there if you need anything. The room was super nice and clean, the bathroom was equipped with everything you might need, but the balcony… giving you a view to the most breathtaking sunsets in your life! The restaurant was great, so delicious food, and the staff always giving you attention like you are the most important person in the world. The breakfast was so tasty. Every morning while we waited for the breakfast we received a full plate of fresh fruits and a glass of fresh juice. We were impressed. If you stay there you should try the Dodoki grilled fish! The whole place is like a piece of paradise and you definitely feel like you’re in that paradise! Asante sana! Nawapenda marafiki!

African Bungalows is a beautiful boutique style hotel, which is so hard to find in Nungwi. The pool area is exceptional with garden style surroundings. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The owner of the hotel Ersoy was a consummate host and made us feel really spoilt! Thank you so much for making our vacation special.

Fantastic stay! 10/10 Amazing friendly staff, very helpful, proactive and nice Location was perfect, close to beach, ATM, currency change, restaurants, main attractions. The swimming pool is spotless, very big and nice. Breakfast was a nice buffet with a good variety We have been well taken care by the entire staff, special thank you to Mohamed x2 and Ahmed! They make this place shining with the help of the beautiful other local staff

The resort is a 10 out of 10. Luxury at its best! The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything was meticulous and the attention to detail was impressive. Chef Keith went above and beyond and took us on the most amazing culinary experience. He has incredible talent and made our stay even better than we could ever imagine. Hands down best resort in Zanzibar!

Truly enjoyed the pristine beach and the laid back nature of the place. Totally enjoyed several meals at Fish Restaurant which were absolutely delicious. I tried Kingfish, Changu, Perch, White Snapper, Prawns etc. The seafood was phenomenal. We also enjoyed seeing the turtles and the artwork at several curio shops. Also enjoyed an early morning boat ride seeing the dolphins. I can't believe how fast time went by. Looking forward to visiting Zanzibar again.

Omg there is so much to do in Nungwi, when you have the right agent to take you around the sceneries , the people , all was worth it . Nungwi is just what you hear and see in pictures there is no exaggerations.

It is the farthest tip of the island...about 1:20 taxi drive...
It is the farthest tip of the island...about 1:20 taxi drive. Next time, I would stay on the blower east side where there are villages and hotels. But for first time Nungwi was lively offering many activities.

The staff are exceptional.
The staff are exceptional. They are intentional about hospitality, constantly checking if everything is okay and responding instantly to any requests I had. Honestly, just for the staff alone, it’s worth a visit. Their smiles are so welcoming, especially combined with the lovely garden space.

The resort was amazing and looked after to perfection. Nothing was to much trouble and absolutely everything was provided for. The beach was very safe and clean and the ocean clear and warm. Plenty of water sport activities to choose from and of course security around but not over facing. Perfection. The romantic dinner on the last evening was stunning, but all of the restaurants were excellent with great choices.

It’s about an hour and a half to 2 hours from the airport.
It’s about an hour and a half to 2 hours from the airport. The beach was nice, smooth white sand, and nice clear water. The sellers on the beach are overly pushy and never leave you alone, and they just keep coming. One leaves the next comes. Some nice places to eat by the beach with beautiful sunsets.

Kihori is a great hotel, the rooms are spacious, very clean. Breakfast was excellent and huge :) Location is perfect, 10 steps from the beach. The staff are amazing, Halima and Helda made my stay so much easier, they helped me with everything, changing money, pharmacy, getting around, all kinds of tips and tricks and also with organising trips with the best price I had in Zanzibar. I would recommend the hotel to everyone a 100 times. Thanks once again to amazing Halima and Helda for everything :)

Honestly the best place I stayed in Zanzibar as female solo traveller. The owners are awesome and very hospitaple and helpful with everything. Nice pool, hip and chill space, well decorated and food was great (loved the variable breakfast options!) 2 mins walk to the beach and ATM. Hot showers finally not a problem also, as in many other hotels i stayed on the island. Great value! Thank you Max, Bro and the rest of the family❣️ See you next time 😊

OUR FAVOURITE HOTEL during our stay in Zanzibar - amazing vibed <3 literally a few steps away from the beach garden area and room terrace were very relaxing kind staff and owners (Baiba and Katja) that made us feel at home big beautiful room nicely decorated and spacious bathroom, everything was clean simple yet delicious breakfast with fruits, pancakes and French toast

Location great. Great value for money and fantastic access to the beach as it's right on the beach. Staff are very good and helpful. The property is quaint in a nice way and has a feeling of traditional living and you feel you are in Zanzibar. Restaurant is good. Will use again.

I’m Sudanese came to visit Zanzibar. It was very comfortable place to stay the staff is lovely & quite helpful . The hotel is so quite, very clean rooms and relaxing outdoors with delicious breakfast . a couple steps from nungwi beach .
