Location and facilities. We are a volleyball team and wanted a large room where girls could stay together. Also large living area and wrap around deck for leisure time. Girls were comfortable here and staff had plenty room too. Full kitchen facilities and dining area were ample. Easy check in and check out process. Jade and her team left us an aloha message with a nice box of chocolates. Communication with rental staff was excellent. Beautiful place for rest and relaxation! Mahalo nui

This is a super cute botique hotel with really elegant and local decor. I loved hearing the coqui frogs at night, and the view from our room looked out to lush rainforest. It was very peaceful and not too remote-- Hilo is only about a 20 minute drive down the Hawaii belt-- though you feel like you're in the middle of nature. The breakfast is simple but well thought out. Very close to 'Akaka Falls.

Beautiful location within a tropical garden setting, complete with water features & pool. Nice to sit out on the ample deck in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the warm surroundings. Our hosts were very welcoming and happy to share their experiences. Good self serve continental breakfast. Easy walk to surfing beach.

I was visiting Hawaii Volcano NP and waiting for an eruption few days. Lodging in the park and Volcano village was completely sold out so I need to look for anything near. I am glad that I chose Hilo Bay Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast. It was very clean, cozy and fresh! No moisture which is a big problem in Volcano village. Big room, very comfortable bed, tasty breakfast (fresh made eggs, fruits, bread). Very helpful owner.

Absolutely stunning place to stay. It is quiet, beautiful, peaceful and you truly feel home away from home. The innkeeper car was friendly and adorable, the staff were friendly and the grounds are spectacular. We loved the private dinning experience, but make sure to mention your dietary restrictions or what you don’t like to eat as you don’t want to miss anything from this multi course meal. The common area were welcoming and there were snacks, tea and coffee available at all time. The rooms were light and you could hear the falls in the background, for a lovely white noise at night. We will be back!
