AustraliaLoved the room: very well done with timber and stylish fittings. Bathroom products top quality. Bed (king size) was fantastic. Reception and check in was welcoming and friendly with suggestions of where to go for a meal. Pizza at Point Arena wharf definitely worth the 5 minute drive, and Japanese next door also very nice. Our breakfast delivered freshly prepared to our room right on time.

United KingdomThe location of course is absolutely stunning with an ocean view, our room was also stunning a great size with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We dined at the restaurant and we could not find anything to complain about, we had fish and chips which was scrumptious. All the staff were friendly and obliging. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, if you are in the area you must stay here.

Enjoyed visiting friends. Wish more was open but understand that this is not high season and times are tough. Ate in Gualala. Don't remember name. Not much open in Pt. Arena. Had a take out shake that was great. Went to library that was great. We were there on a Wednesday. Getting around was exceedingly easy. Too bad so many abandoned store fronts. Coffee place was wonderful. Nice people. Good conversation. Should have brought some coffee beans home. Pt Arena is our secret getaway.
Pt Arena is our secret getaway. The harbor is alive with fishing & surfing but it’s all local & chill. The Discovery Art Studio Tour is amazing & there is excellent food & coffee options everywhere. Local festivals have great music & are small enough to not be overwhelmed. There are different beaches, lots of bluff top hiking along the ocean & a cool lighthouse. Rollerville is right down the road & has great food for any meal & very handy. Pier Place at the wharf is also good & great views & shops. I have lived in this area most of my life & had to move because of my husband's job 26 yrs ago. Point Arena is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a stunning coastline. The coastal views on the way to the lighthouse should not be missed. However, the town center is rather blighted. The restaurants seem to be only open on the weekends. The historic center is worn down. . . not really any interesting shops or galleries. You may want to consider staying in Gualala or Anchor Bay instead. Elk has a fantastic art gallery and it's a charming village. . . but, the prices in the local grocery are astronomical.Guest review bySherryUnited States - 10.0

A trip north along the coast road to Fort Bragg, stopping often and including a stop at Point Arena lighthouse with climb to the top well worth it.
