The setting is incredibly peaceful and feels like a quiet escape, while still being conveniently close to everything you might want to explore around the island. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere immediately helped me slow down and relax. The room was beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, and both the pool and restaurant exceeded my expectations. After nearly a month of traveling through Vietnam, I can honestly say this was one of the best restaurants I experienced during the entire trip. The food was fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. What made the stay truly memorable, though, was the Cabalina team. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout my visit. Whether it was restaurant service, room service, transportation, or simply helping with recommendations, they always went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. One of my favorite parts of the stay was waking up to the peaceful views overlooking the mangrove forest. The quiet mornings in the garden were incredibly relaxing and became some of my favorite moments in Cat Ba. I would absolutely recommend Cabalina Retreat to anyone looking for a calm and memorable stay on the island, and I truly hope to return one day.

The couple - owner - is just cute and accomodating. They have lots of comics, toys, a dog and a cat running around, cute, active, may be cautious at first but just spend a few mins and they would be lovely to play with. The place is quite near the center, got bikes for rent, you can just communicate your needs and I think they will try to accomodate. Also located in the foothill, take a walk to the top for a broad view of the city, cool. Room is enough for 4 pp and clean. The view is amazing, plus no mosquitoes or sum. Considering the price as well, the stay is decent. Would recommend.

Tucked away at the end of a small village, surrounded by rice fields and limestone mountains, Nabum feels peaceful in the most natural way, not staged, not overly polished, just deeply beautiful and full of soul. The room was warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with beautiful wooden details and an atmosphere that felt both simple and environmentally conscious. Waking up to the fresh mountain air, the soft morning light, and the quiet rhythm of the village was something truly special. What makes Nabum even more special is the people, especially Xuyến, Hường and Hỏi, whose warmth and kindness made our stay all the more memorable. KHÓI Restaurant, within the Nabum grounds, was another unforgettable part of the experience. We never expected to find pizza this exceptional in such a quiet corner of the mountains. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the pizza was absolutely outstanding, and we were happy to see that they also serve delicious vegetarian pizza. The oven-roasted chicken was just as memorable, full of flavour and beautifully cooked. KHÓI seems to have become a gathering place for climbers from different parts of the world, who come here to enjoy a meal after exploring the surrounding mountains. Hearing their climbing stories and experiences was one of the unexpected joys of our stay, and it made the whole experience even more special. Nabum is one of those rare places that stays with you in the loveliest way, and we know for certain that we will come back.

The location is unbelievable, the most beautiful place i have ever slept at. Amazing views. Very nice owners, made me dinner and a light breakfast. The stay is really authentic, all the animals roaming freely at the nearby field... just a wonderful place!!

Super friendly and nice atmosphere. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast was also good, bike rental was included, even with mountainbikes. Would definitely recommend it! Our best accommodations in Vietnam so far :)
