This was such an amazing stay, the one we will always remember. What truly made it special were the people. The staff were honestly the kindest and most welcoming I’ve ever met. The place itself is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and every moment felt relaxed and special. We left with full hearts and great memories. Can’t wait to come back here someday. It was very clean, close to the places. The staff is AMAZING, very kind, talk in English, everyone was very friendly and nice. Definitely when I came back I will stay here. Rooms are very clean, good breakfast and perfect location. Rate: 100/10.

Pros: 1) Very big and spacious room (1 bedroom and 1 living room). Plenty of room to open 2 large suitcases. 2) Easy to find halal / muslim restaurants. 3) Located directly in front of a hip trendy area. Has%Arabica and other coffee shops. Some coffee shops and restaurants at the ground floor. 4) Staff able to converse and communicate in English. 5) Bonus point is each room has washer dryer and they also provide laundry detergent. 10/10!

We have stayed at many so-called 5 star accommodations in China, but this is the first hotel to actually deliver. Staff throughout the the entire facility were solicitous, helpful, and smiling. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with many items made fresh to order and brought to the table. Staff were fantastic at the buffet rapidly supplying anything we asked for, and doing so with a smile. The rooms were fantastic: beautiful decor, lovely bathrooms, luxurious linens and all of it suffused with the rich fragnrances of Aesop toiletries. The spa and locker room facilities were clean and well supplied--the steam room was a wonderful treat. We were even able to enjoy a few minutes in the pool with no swim lessons! We are not really lap-swimmers, but enjoy a good dip, and have found ourselves frowned at in most Chinese hotel pools (pools are apparently for exercise, not fun!). Note to expats: BJ has a strict mandatory swim cap rule. Friendlier hotels will offer swim cap loans to foreign guests (not so friendly ones force you to buy caps if you want to swim--kids and adults alike!), but the Waldorf was kind enough to say nothing, allowing us to swim capless (imagine! The freedom!). Finally, hooray for massage therapist Angela, she was magnificent--a true luxury experience!

We loved everything! From the second we alighted from our vehicle at the hotel, our experience at the Peninsula has been nothing short of FANTASTIC. As soon as we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted by a bevy of staff who were already waiting to receive us. They handled our luggage efficiently and ushered us warmly up to our room to complete the check-in procedures. I booked two rooms for me and my family. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed and exceptionally clean. Staff was always eager and happy to assist with any questions we had. I had to purchase a few essential items for my 6 month old baby while we were staying in Beijing and the concierge team went above and beyond by purchasing the items for me on their mobile phone via an app (similar to Ubereats or Instacart) and personally delivering the purchased items to my room when they arrived. I am blown away by the Peninsula and the exceptional service and stay we received. Well done to the entire team!
