Hotels in Bairro Alto, Lisbon

The facility is fully renovated in the heart of Lisbon, in Chiado, just 1 min walk from the famous Tram 28 station, same distance from the metro station of Baixa-Chiado, 10 min walk from the train 15E (to Belem). In my opinion the hotel in very impressive because it offers a full experience: morning with a view on the Camões Monument under the vibrant sounds of a piano playing next door. When you take the stairs to go to the reception there is a corned full with books, another experience if you’re a passionate like me. The breakfast included a variety of products (bread, eggs, ham and chesse, salad, fresh fruit, vegies, pastry, milk, yoghurt, cereals ans musli, and everything was of a high quality. In the evening if you open the window you might hear street artist playing music in the main square (totally recommend to experience that). I was impressed with the acoustic insulation of the rooms. The staff was amazing: super helpful and friendly (although everybody in Lisbon seems to be extremely welcoming). All the main attraction are in the vicinity of 20 min (considering going up the hills and down) and I’m referring to (Bairro Alto), Time-Out Market, Rossio, up to Praça do Comércio or even further to Alfama the most antient bookstore still operating (Livraria Bertrand), and next door you have the best bifana in town and on the other side Manteigaria pastry shop with the best pasteis de nata in town. I know what to recommend to all my family and friends and for sure I will come back 😊 Everything was perfect and i wish all the hosting facilities would be as great as Solar dos Poetas.

Staff were very lovely, and this hotel is a little slice of paradise that you can depend on throughout the day. Also, the sofa in the patio downstairs is outrageously comfortable, I need to know where it's from. Pillows were amazingly comfy. Loved it!!

A remarkable place full of personality, where you’re greeted from the entrance by an impressive collection of art pieces that immediately set the atmosphere. The staff, always smiling and welcoming, make you feel right at home from the very first moment. The ambiance is beautifully enhanced by live music — piano and violin performances that add a touch of elegance to every evening. The fado music show was wonderfully organized and perfectly complemented by a traditional Portuguese menu, rich in flavor and authenticity. Service was excellent — attentive, prompt, and professional — making the whole experience truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a refined evening filled with charm, emotion, and good taste.

I loved this hotel! It’s in a beautiful old house with a cozy and unique style. The breakfast was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and the location was perfect—just a 3-minute walk to the metro with all major sights within easy walking distance.

Very nice place to stay in Lisbon. I definetely recommend it. The room was very clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and I'll say 10stars for the hotel staff: very friendly, responsive and helpful. Always welcoming us with a smile on their faces and willing to help up with everything. We also took the transfer from the airport with them and we had a great experience with Goncalo: all went so smooth. :)

The location is perfect, just a few blocks from everything. The place is super cozy and comfortable. We were leaving the Hotel before breakfast time and they gave us something to eat and drink on the go.

Location, staff, cleanliness, value of pay

This apartment is just perfect!!! Building is completly new (or renovated) Everything in apartment is in perfect condition, from toilet, to kitchen, and living room (nothing old or run down from use) Apartment is in the street where popular touristic tram line num. 28 passes, but when you close all the windows (doors) you can sleep very comfy. You actualy have 3 small balconies at hand. Checkin procedure is very easy to understand and do it. You are also in the center of all stuff and site seeing that you would need, and all is in walikg distance. ALL THE BEST!!!

Excellent service, beautifully designed hotel, and in a wonderful part of the city. We’ve never stayed in a gay hotel before and the vibe here was perfect. Highly recommended.
